Man. Your movie sounded like it'd kick my movie's butt. That is, if films had lil' legs and big black butt-kicking boots.

I went to see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0213985/ (Partition). I thought it was just awful! Every single Hollywood cliché was used, including a syrupy soundtrack consisting almost entirely of non-diegetic music (none of which sounded Indian). Neve Cambell was utterly unconvincing as an Englishwoman. I kept thinking Party of Five!

And I'm sorry--two people come upon each other hiding in the bushes in the Punjab (a Sikh and a Muslim), and they speak...English?! Shouldn't they be fumbling for words in Punjabi/Urdu or at the very least, Hindi?

Totally disappointing. The 'rents loved it. I told them it reminded me of Gangs of New York, and they got all pissy.
