The one thing that makes me hesitate to share this information with LJ is that SixApart has no confidentiality clause. They'll sell/share/use my personal info in whatever way they see fit, and I have no recourse whatsoever, so I tend to tell them as little about me as possible.

Yeah, there are a lot of reasons I wouldn't normally share, and I did actually opt for giving correct month and year, but not day. So I SORT OF did the DOB. Anyway, there are reasons I opted to do this that I won't put in a public post, but they were good enough reasons for me that I broke my own rule of not putting remotely correct birthdate info on the web. I totally understand why you would choose not to. I'm just worried that that's exactly why we're in this little mess with lj, because the older we are, the more likely we are not to put any info down. I refused for a long time, so I had it blank until just today. But, yeah, I can't blame anyone who doesn't want to, because I'm right there, too.
