Finally the Bio!
Okay so I was lazy and took this all (the first part) from wikipedia.org. Hey, at least I put it up here. I will randomly add new things as I think about it.

DéspairsRay is a four-member Japanese visual kei band, signed with Sweet Child Records consisting of HIZUMI on vocals, Karyu on guitar, ZERO on bass guitar, and TSUKASA on drums.

DéspairsRay was created on September 9, 1999, its line-up never changed ever since: Hizumi and Tsukasa had played in Le'veil before, Karyu had played in Dieur Mind (where he used the name Yoshitaka). They play their very first concert on September 24th, during an event at Takadanobaba AREA.

At their different concerts, they gave out their demo-tapes free of charge.

On October 21st 2000, their very first maxi-single, Kumo, was released. It sold so well that it was re-released in April of 2001. Their second maxi-single, Genwaku, was released the same day. Pre-orders made the first edition (1000 copies had been printed) sell out before the actual release of the single! Their first mini-album,-TERRORS-, was released very soon after, on July 27th.

They play their first one-man concert,Sixth TERROR, at Takadanobaba AREA (300 places) on August 29.

Their new demo-tape, Ura mania Theater, was released on January 21st, 2002, limited to 1000 copies. They went on tour (TOUR Mania theater) for it on February 7th of 2002.

On May 29th, they played their second one man concert (SEXUAL BEAST) at Shibuya on air west (500 places). In June they released their SEXUAL BEAST maxi-single, and re-released the next month. They also play on an omnibus cd, Obashima no naka de miru yume, which was released on September 8th.

2003 begins with a secret cd, Itanji, out on January 20th. 5 days after, they play their third one-man concert, at Shibuya On air west: nugimasu. On February 7th, they organise a free concert, at Meguro live Station: Itanji. New maxi-single again, MaVERICK, on February 12th, then new tour, for 21 concerts: Pregnancy eight month. A second press of MaVERICK is sold from March 26th.

Soon after, they play at the Stylish wave '03 Mega force concert at Shibuya Kokaidô, with Laputa, Vogus Image or Stray pig Vanguard.

A new tour begins on July 17th: tour '03 MANIA no ikusa. And in September begins their first "one man concerts only"-tour: Doom&Gloom ~ Tonaka MANIA sennou keikaku. The ending concert will be at Shinjuku Liquid Room (600 places), where they had already played a one-man concert on April 27th.

November 12th is the day when their best single (to this date) is released: Gärnet. It even reached the first place in the Indie Oricon rankings! New tour from November 9th to 30th (only events: no one-man concerts). They are also invited to visual kei important events: They play at Beauti-fools Fest 03 on December 28th, which was organised by the Fool's Mate magazine, which invited bands like Miyavi, MUCC, Gazette or deadman. On December 31st, they play two concerts: Stylish wave count down 03/04 at Yokohama aka renga kurakura ichi gô kan 3F hall, and Final 03 at Takadanobaba AREA.

2004 begins with a one-man concerts tour: Garnet... ~ sennoushite XX he.

On April 28th, a maxi-single is released, BORN, it will be re-edited on July 21st. They will also play three one-man concerts, before going on an event-tour all Summer long.

A new maxi-single, -GEMINI-, is expected to be released on September 1st. They will also play three "conceptual" one-man concerts this month: Bloody marry Day, Furachi na toiki Day and murder Day.

In October 2004, they will play outside Japan for the first time, playing in Berlin on 30th, then in Paris on 31st. It will be the perfect occasion for an European audience to find out their worth on stage! This "mini-tour" is called Wollust ward dem Wurm gegeben.

On June 29, 2005 they released their first full length album, Coll:set, in two different versions. The Limited Edition was a 12 track CD housed in an 18 page booklet called "The world in a cage." and was distributed by Pyramid of the Moon at Jpophouse.com. The second version was the Regular Edition, which came in a regular jewel CD case and contained 14 tracks, including Garnet and [Fuyuu shita Risou], which were not on the Limited Edition, this version was distributed by Universal Music K.K. .

That same year DéspairsRay embarked on two tours in the United States, Infectious Mania Tour Act I and II, this marks their first two visits to the US.

Towards the end of 2005 DéspairsRay toured in Germany and France on the Coupling Tour with kagerou.

A second press of their single, Gärnet, is released on October 19, 2005.

They will begin the year of 2006 with their first European market release, they will be releasing the European version of Coll:set on January 13, 2006. It will be the exact same album as the Regular Japanese Edition of Coll:set, except it will have a translated lyrics booklet and will be distributed by Gan Shin Records in Germany.

DéspairsRay is known for their dark and heavy sound, often intertwining fast paced guitar rips with hard, fast moving bass and drum lines. Very often in their music you will hear a few external noices, such as a fiddle in "Marry of the Blood", or the sound of wind blowing wind chimes in the beginging of "Reddish ~DIVA Version~", to the background shouts of German gestapo shouting "Zeig Hiel!" in "Facism". Very often as well, HIZUMI will give death screams or gaspings etc., to enhance the darkness of their music.

DéspairsRay fans are known as Mania Muke, or Manias (plural).
