I can kill you with my brain...

Joss Whedon's Firefly is seriously one of the best shows ever created, and its untimely cancellation was probably the catalyst for the death of quality television. Now, I must admit that I did not watch it when it was actually on the air; I was too wrapped up in the end of Buffy and Angel and I just could not commit to another show, even though it was created by God--I mean, Joss...no, I do mean God, himself. But now that I have seen the amazing-ness that is Firefly I want to cry, because this show could have saved the magic of television for me. I seriously quit watching tv after Angel ended, and I only started watching again when The OC started. However, unlike Joss' creations, I don't really have any qualms about missing an episode of the OC. The weekly Thursday night gatherings are more for the joy of my friends' company than the show itself. And I know that there are some realtively decent shows out there right now but there is nothing that matches the genius of any of Joss' three shows. I only have two episodes lefts before I've finished Firefly and it's so sad to think that there's nothing else. I mean, yes, there is the movie (which was too fabulous) and the comic books (which I cannot wait to get my hands on) but nothing changes the fact that the show is over.

If you think this is melodramatic, you shoud've seen me when Buffy and Angel ended. I don't think I've ever cried so hard in my life.
