I've been a bit obsessed with period costume lately (a bit, says she...). I've actually started a pretty good drawing last autumn, but I can't bring myself to finish it, because the shirt are all wrong :D I guess I'm going to, though.

Oh yes, you're quite right. The hand is another of those things I just pretend aren't there.

But the picture tells some story anyway, something tragic. It looks great, the shadings are good. The curling on the floor figure is very well done, dramatic.

I've missed your art!

There's really a great lighting here, both overall and in the small details, such as the man's leg shadow.

I agree with the above comment, your art does tell a story, and I love this.
