Cherry-Walnut cake

We recently got a delicious recipe for a cherry cake and it would be criminal not to share it.

You need

For the dough:
1 cup flour (1 cup = 200ml)
5 table spoons powdered sugar
100 g soft butter

I think they might, but you'd need more of them. And probably less sugar in both the pastry and the topping? It's really sweet and the cherries add a much needed sour counterpoint. I think it might also work well with apples cut in smallish cubes.

(Tssk. We always have a bag of frozen cherries for cake emergencies :D)

We haven't realy perfected it ourselves yet. This is the recipe as we got it from a friend who got it from a book so it still needs some experimentation to find the right quantities for everything ;) I've just made it for the second time myself and the batter ended up being slight different than the first time.

Personally I think the dough might need more flour - I added a good two tablespoons because it was still very 'buttery'.

It's really hard to stop eating :D The friend we got it from said her family doesn't make the dough any more, but just eats the filling with a spoon. Though you'd need a different dish for that.
