Good job on holding the fort. You're closer to being in Irene's path than we are but we've battened down as well - just in case. Hurricane's are wily creatures.

I see Lewes, DE got hit hard but we were far enough west of the path that we came through with only hearty winds and rain. No trees down, no damaged buildings, etc. Still - I'm glad we battened down and were stocked up for potential problems. had a few momentary power flickers last night but no sustained outages. I am grateful that my only cleanup will be the requisite mowing that our super fast growing grass and weeds seem to do after a storm.
How did you fare? everyone okay?

LOL, I think that's the least of our worries, though we do have two extra mouths in the house right now but even so, doubt we'd run out for a few months.
