As I write this, I am sitting in the downtown training lounge. The arrival of our canine counterparts is less than 24 hours

away.
This morning, after a talk from the class supervisor, we did a Juno walk in town.

All of my dogs have been scattered to different homes while I am away, but I am relieved to report that they are all doing very well.  My trip was pretty uneventful, thankfully.

Licorice continues to grow and learn. I took her in for her routine vet visit today. She didn't mind her shots, and she was incredibly well-behaved for such a young puppy. She is 26.5 pounds, and I need to make her vest a little larger ( Read more... )

The first ten or so days of Licorice have been interesting. She is an incredibly smart but immature little lady. I am trying my best to not compare her to Dayton at her age, but there is definitely a difference. Once again, there is a puppy in my house. Licorice is a 3-month-old female black labradoodle. I am raising her for Custom Canines Service Dog Academy, and so far so good. She arrived about 4:45 this afternoon, and she has met everyone with no issues ( Read more... )
