Some of you may already know, I am (was) a huge David Fster Wallace (DFW) fan. He's one of those authors that college students love to quote excessively, the hip kids banter with insider lit-jargon, and quickly becomes a cult classic. Interesting. I don't have the same thought process. I say, most of the time, "Get out of THE way, or "It's to your left" instead of "It's to my right."

Weird. I wonder what that means.

Wow.

You read it senior year? Impressive. I took me about a year (and a destroyed book -- as i had to rip it into sections to be able to carry it - I know I'm an unwashed book-destroying-phillistine.)to get through it.

I actually found it eeriely comforting, and completely edible. But I really just enjoyed the tone and the lushness of the way he writes.
