when i got my photos back and started flipping through them, i thought that they were 'just ok' as individual shots but a couple of days later i started grouping them in different ways and i noticed that if i put certain photos together they made a little story or revealed a lot about the subject.

these three photos for instance were not taken one after the other but i grouped them together because of color similarities. after staring at them for awhile i noticed what u noticed: the wkw-ness.

if u look at it closely and treat it as a scene from movie - u can interpret a lot just by looking at these three pictures in succession.

it's pretty crazy how many "picture stories" i was able to compile. the one of u skateboarding is the best. you'll appreciate the irony of it.

i developed them and most of them turned out. the last few frames didnt, i think you might have had the camera on the wrong settings or the light meter wasnt on properly when you took over with my camera.

glad u liked it.

it's interesting,
these 3 pictures actually look like a scene from a film by a director named wong kar-wai. he's the guy who directed the norah jones movie.
i think he's the most talented filmmaker of this generation along with michel gondry.

don't forget to give me a blank disc sometime so i can burn my blueberry nights for you.

i've heard of wong kar-wai, i haven't actually seen any of his movies yet though, but i do remember finding out my blueberry nights was by him.

i've just seen a bunch of stills from movies of his...and now that i think of it, the pictures look sorta similar.

aaand jermaine actually found it and downloaded it for me, but thanks for offering to burn it! :)
