One of our schoolmates was pulled by her parents from the sex ed part of class, and sent to the Catholic version of it. She was literally taught that babies were something that married couple had - but no details as to how it happened, etc. Happily, one of her teachers realized what was going on and pulled her aside one day and explained it all. She's still very grateful to the teacher, and still hasn't mentioned it to her parents.
