Federal Hate Crimes bill passes the Senate!

Wow! The Senate passed groundbreaking legislation Thursday that would make it a federal crime to assault an individual because of his or her sexual orientation or gender identity. First Federal Legislation protecting LGBT Americans! And, YES, it DID include gender identity. Now it is on President Obama's desk to be signed and made into law
