I got a new dress on Saturday. I wore it to my post-opera party Saturday night and to work this morning. In the about six total hours I've had this dress on, I have spilled on it:

wine (white, thankfully, and not my fault, either; some chick wasn't watching where she was going and ran her wine glass right into my elbow)
coffee

Isn't that always the way? I can wear a $2.99 cheapo t-shirt from Acme all day long and not spill/smear/drop a thing on it. The minute I put on the $150 evening dress, though, any stray drop or crumb or splash will immediately gravitate to the most visible or least stain-resistant part of it. I think expensive clothing comes with a built in magnetic fields designed specifically for stain-prone liquids and solids.

And here I thought it was just me. I can never go long without getting *something* on my clothes. I swear I keep the Shout people in business.

Sign me up, too. I would wear dark colored clothes to school...nothing. I'd wear something light colored and some kid somewhere would get something all over and I'd end up with it all over me. It never fails.
