A New Day

No Presidential candidate for whom I have voted in the past has gone on to win*.

Yesterday changed all that.

I'm so glad.

(*I voted for Gore in 2000...which should count, but we all know how that turned out..)

Both sides were idiots and now we have Jimmy Carter, Jr. to apologize to America and tell us we're all screwed. Sigh. Oh well. I wonder if he'll pull the troops out (please!) or just start attacking Pakistan like he promised months ago? I hope that W doesn't bomb Iran just to make trouble for Obama.

Oh, and we can expect fuel rationing under Obama, and lower speed limits, which I approve of because its better than hoarding and fascism, for obvious reasons. I think McCain would have allowed the hoarding and continued W's fascism, something I strongly disapprove of. I'm a Conservative that believes in rational conservation and soil and forest restoration. Waterways too. If I could do the math I'd get the degree to support it. Repair America one meadow and glen at a time. I doubt Obama cares, but my goals are more long term. I'm not looking forward to this situation, and the next four years of broken promises and disappointments that the bad economy will necessarily cause. It can't be helped. We've got bad luck.
