part i.
Character name: Mozenrath
Fandom: Aladdin TV Series
Species (vampire, werewolf, what have you): Human
Character powers: At his best, Mozenrath is able to levitate himself, other people, and objects great and small with near-perfect ease. He can also teleport and move through tears in time and space. The latter is exhibited in several episodes, where he "cuts" a hole in the environment and is able to step through to his destination. He can also communicate with people this way, opening these tears to hold conversations with a person at a distant location. He is able to project blasts of energy, which resembles blue-black fire, and can apparently use said flames to power certain alchemical processes as well. He at one point is able to create a Philosopher's Stone with much time and intricate planning, which involved not only mechanical knowhow but his power to catalyze it. He is also able to use the flames he creates to turn igneous rocks into crystals that have various magic related abilities. Some absorb magical beings into them, trapping them and allowing him to absorb their energies, while others simply light up and flicker when magic gets close to it. He is also, with the proper resources, able to forge metals that cancel out magics on contact, and he has, in the past, created radial explosives with the same capabilities. The magic of his gauntlet also keeps his right hand functioning, despite the fact that, beneath the glove, this right arm from his hand up to just above his elbow is nothing but bone -- the result of an unfortunate accident described in his history. Without the gauntlet on, people can try to touch what's left of his hand but will encounter an invisible barrier, as though the magic he channels has given him invisible skin and flesh. This will slowly disappear and cause him excrutiating amounts of pain if he goes more than a week without his gauntlet. The bones would eventually fully die and fall off.
part ii.
1.) Is it acceptable for your character to be mind-controlled or persuaded? How susceptible are they to mind control, hypnotism, or suggestion? With permission and if I feel it's feasible. He's not immune but you'd have to be really good at what you do in order to do it.
2.) Is it acceptable for your character to have their mind read? Does this include traumatic memories? What is their mind like (disturbing, orderly, joyful, surprisingly empty, etc.)? If the character has psychic walls or preventative measures against psychic interference, please explain. ASK ME FIRST. He's pretty affluent in detecting this stuff and has trained some to prevent such things.
3.) Are thoughts mentioned in narration acceptable for a telepath to pick up? ASK ME FIRST.
4.) What about emotions, in the case of an empath? What sort of general emotional reading would such a character receive from yours? Emotions I'll probably be accepting of. Ask me to be safe.
5.) Are there any aspects of your character's mind, emotions, or memories you would like to be picked up, mentioned, or used in character? Conversely, is there anything that should not be noticed, or at least never mentioned? Anything you didn't ask me to use is off limits :|
part iii.
1.) Physically speaking, what stands out about your character? Imposing size? Physical scarring? Tattoos? He stands about six feet tall and appears to be of middle-eastern descent. However, he is ridiculously pale. Also, if you ever see his right hand with the glove off, there's only bones underneath (see icon).
2.) Is your character immune to any of the following: poisons, chemical agents, telekinetic influence, radiation, or types of illnesses? NOPE.
3.) Is your character physiologically different from a human in any way? This can include their blood, skin, hair, et cetera being made up of something unusual or simply differing in construction and durability. His right hand, though when you feel it through the glove feels normal? Will read as dead to most scanners.
4.) Are you amenable to having your character be harmed in any way? How far are you comfortable with injury to you character going? Does this include being fed on by vampires, willingly or unwillingly? I'm cool with plotting anything provided you talk to me first.
5.) Is it acceptable for other characters with abilities of shapeshifting or disguise to imitate your character? Does this include ability mimicry? No.
part iv.
1.) Can your character's presence or aura be noticed by other characters, and how would it look/feel to them? How would it manifest to a character with no supernatural abilities, if at all? It would not manifest to a person without supernatural abilities, but his aura would be...about like you'd expect from a pretty affluent magic-user.
2.) Can your character be affected by magic spells and curses? Yes. Ask first.
3.) Can your character be affected by sin and corruption, and be tempted toward expressing their darker urges (of whatever flavor)? TOTALLY :D Hit me up.
4. What sort of sins is the character prone toward, and how might they best be tempted, if you are interested in such an event? Pride. He also tends to defeat boredom by picking on people, but he has gotten better about this. He's still attracted to power even if he can see more clearly how easily it can harm him if he's not careful or thinking ahead.
5.) Are you amenable to the character receiving prophetic visions, including as part of a plot? Sure!
part v.
1.) Is canon-puncturing or fourth-walling acceptable? We encourage people to tread extremely lightly with allowing their character to learn they are fictional. Totally acceptable. He saw it happen a lot at TLV.
2. Is threadjacking allowed? Under what circumstances? Provided it's not under a filter your character shouldn't be part of. If it's an RP log, though, get permission first.
3. Is it acceptable for canonmates that are updated further than yours to inform your character of events yours has not yet experienced? Yes.
4. Are there triggering or upsetting topics you would like other characters to avoid mentioning to yours for the sake of continued comfort (racist words, homophobia, self-injury, etc.)? Not really.
5. Are there any additions you would like us to make to this survey? Nope :D
