If you say fucking Quebec taxes now, wait til January. All that money you made from January 1 til now? Taxable at Quebec rate, not Ontario.

I used my RRSP to soften the blow.

We do kind of owe you for Mark's help moving. Also Lyne is nosy and wants to see your house. You didn't hear that from me. The funny thing is she's sitting right beside me while I type this.

Like the ones where a GO Bus-style express bus from my home to within a mile of my work gets cancelled because it is seen as two-tier public transit, while there are already different fare systems and service levels between commuter trains and the metro?

for what it is worth (and i apologize for the dr. phil moment here) i have had a sense of palpable loss since you left. i know we don't see each other often, but i have always had a sense of comfort having my longtime friends around. the fact that i pass your former workplace everyday doesn't help either. i know you aren't very far away and i know you will be coming back for visits, but i am sad that you are not here.

as for the 4th, ironically enough ted and i (and probably isabelle if things go as planned) will be in montreal for most of the day at a jiu jitsu tournament. if things go as they did last year we should be back in ottawa around 7 or 8.

You're such a sweetie.

Ted already told me about the fourth though he said he's likely to overnight there to schmooze for the club.
