They’re shiny. Mammals seem to like shiny things…a lot. I am no exception. I like how CDs reflect light, how I can see myself in it, how I can make pretty marks on the wall if I aim a reflected sun ray correctly.

the music industry actually wanted to impose a way to re-charge for sales of used CDs, arguing that selling a purchased CD dishonoured the artist and kept the artist from money they were due and so on.
I think that once a CD is purchased, it doesn't matter what happens to it. I think a moral objection could be made only if someone were copying CDs to sell or distribute for money VIA the Internet. Otherwise, the music's getting *out* there and heard is just more publicity...and then more people buy CDs. I'm of the opinion that most people would rather own music than "steal" it, you know?
