Hahaha, you are so right! How hard is it to upload to pict.com or whatever? Fuckin' lazy bitches.

I don't like to tag across their faces either, it indeed ruins the pic, and I won't do it on pics I find at places where everybody can find them - like daylife etc. - because I don't own those pics anyway. But screencaps and animations will be tagged. These girls don't get it, don't care or are simply too lazy.

I realised that a lot of people might not even know that they're actually hotlinking, that's why I put the explanation up there.

You don't comment here very often, but you have plenty of comments to your name, so you're an active LJ-user and not an overall lurker. I'm wary of people who don't post and don't comment, because many of them are just here for the pics, so they can snag them and post them elsewhere.

I've never had a hotlinking problem, but I think it's just that my various flists are not that big and for some reason I have never attracted the hated!fangirls. It must be absolutely horrible! I think I'm going to try to attract some hotlinking fiends so that I can experience this for myself. Don't mind me - I am weird like that - I need to have first-hand experience of things most of the time! But I am going to check out the Photobucket stats too. I am not tagging my pics anymore either, so nothing is identified. I actually have 11 Photobucket accounts because I blow them out really fast. In fact, my current one is up to 2300 pics so it will be finished very soon. Anyway, the PB stats look very interesting!

It's just very, very annoying. These girls use our journals and communities to collect pics from, and then they post them at forums they belong to, so they can be Ms. Popular who brings nice pics to the other shitty fangirls. K, fine, but don't link back to other people's image host accounts.

Meh, I'm having quite a lot of fun replacing the pics they've linked to with nasty little graphics that display what they are: nasty little thiefs, muhaha.

That was clever! To replace the pics with embarrassing graphics is awesome. I cannot understand why the twits would not just save the pics to their own files instead of doing the hotlinking shit. It's just so stupid.

*sigh* I really don't understand what's so difficult about saving a picture you like and uploading it to your own webspace. I mean, we don't live in the old age anymore, where you had to pay for webspace to store your pics.
