donating blood

on friday, i went to go donate blood. after waiting about 30 minutes, they call me in. they were all nice of course. they stuck the needle in (i always watch, the needle slides in like butter!) the guy wiggled it around for like 3 minutes, then called another guy to look in, and he wiggled it for another minute. then after about 3 minutes longer,

Did the blood even go through? *A* Last time I had a blood check, my doctor was just wiggling the needle to find the vein T____T *shivers*
