FROM CHAPTER 1:
Lee Sungmin, he read on his mind. He placed it on top of the checked papers. He then smiled and stood up. He went to the guidance office and asked for a document. Once he got the folder, he sat down and looked at the papers inside. He read them and jot down some of the information.
He then thanked the guidance counsellor and went ahead.
Now, Kyuhyun thought, let’s see who you are, Lee Sungmin.

“So, x is equal to 2, you will get 18 with the formula that I have given to you,” Kyuhyun said as he wrote the solution for the math problem, “any questions will be entertained now.”
He scanned again the whole classroom and he saw Seohyun, obviously, texting. On her left was Im Yoona who had dozed off. On her right…
Lee Sungmin, who had just finished copying the solution written on the white board, just trying to slip her hand on her bag to get her cellphone. It was three months and there was nothing more than just waiting for the one and a half hour math class for third year, class A.
What the hell should I do? Kyuhyun thought as he sat down, still looking at his cute student. Come to think of it, she’s totally different from the other girls. The others would always swoon over me, do everything to pass, even if it was only a C, will even get my cellphone number, but she…nothing.
“Well, since we had finished a bit early than usual, and you won’t be asking questions, you are free to go.”
“Yeah!”
“Hey, Seki, let’s go to that boutique!”
“Wait, who’s in charge of cleaning the classroom?”
“Mr. President, we have a meeting at the Student Council office.”
“Thank you, Prof. Cho! I have a date today, wish me luck!”
Kyuhyun was just there, killing his time. The only ones left were him, Seohyun, Siwon and Sungmin. As the petite girl was about to go, she stopped when someone grabbed her hand.
“Um, Sungmin-shii…”
“Eh,” she turned around, “Ah… S-Siwon… shii, ah, w-what is it?”
“Can I talk to you for a minute?” Siwon asked. Sungmin nodded and just followed Siwon outside the room.
“So,” Sungmin said without looking at him, “what is it?”
“Um, we’ve known each other since God knows when, right?”
“Yeah…”
“Um, I know it may sound weird but... Will you go out with me?”
“EH?!”
“No, no, I mean, just,” Siwon closed his eyes, “like how we usually do. Just the two of us until curfew time.”
“Ah… But are you sure you want to go with me?”
“Of course! D-don’t worry, I promise, it’s not a date, I-I just want you to come with me tomorrow. Just accompany me since my friends have their own business tomorrow. And, also, this is sort of important for me.”
“Oh, sure thing. What time are going to meet?”
“How about lunch time? I’ll treat you, just like before.”
“No! We- Siwon-shii, that’s already too much. I told you, don’t spoil me!”
“Eh, c’mon, I only do this to you. You’re the only one who I can spoil anyway. Remember what your parents told my parents?”
“Don’t- Don’t you bring that up!”
“Okay, fine, don’t be a hot-headed. Tomorrow, I’ll pick you up at 11am. No objections, see ya!” Siwon said, running away from Sungmin.
“What the- Hey, when did I say you could pick me up?!”
Meanwhile, inside the classroom of third year, Class A…
“So,” Seohyun said, as the door closed, “Siwon had decided to move now, Kyu-oppa…”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Don’t you know the ties of the Choi Family and the Lee Family?”
“Huh?”
“The Choi Family, since they were going bankrupt 15-20 years ago, decided to recruit a family who was good in market, sales, and new technology. Apparently, there were only two families who are great business partners concerning the ‘new technology’ part. They were the Seo and the Lee. The Seo family, unfortunately, gave up the business since their only son, who was the heir, decided to become a politician. He was indeed good and was a fair man.”
“And that is your father, great. What’s that got to do with me and this situation?”
“Yes, my father and I’m not finished, damn it. The Lee family, on the other hand, didn’t give up the business. They were still on the move for this information technology things and other concerning the field. So, the Choi family recruited the Lee family. The Lee family was big, in the Choi’s perspective, since they had four kids to feed, to send school, to hold responsibility of.”
“I really don’t get -”
“Shut up, I’m still talking. One of the Lee children became the favorite of the Choi’s son. He would always say to give her everything, from food to clothes, from education to material things. She was the youngest anyway, and the other children, the eldest was already working at his father’s company, the second was already in college, while the third child was senior high at that time. So, they just want their youngest to live a very normal and happy life. They don’t want her to feel hardship, all she had to do was to finish school in time and get a job that she would like.”
“Wait. Don’t tell me-”
“The Choi’s son is none other than Choi Siwon. The Lee daughter, whom he considers his favorite, is Lee Sungmin.”
Kyuhyun’s jaw dropped and eyes widened. Seohyun got up and swung her bag to her shoulder.
“Now tell me, Kyu-oppa, how are you going to make a move if your rival is indeed your one and only rival in our own ‘elite world’?”
