Unexpected Pay-it-Forward

Sometimes, there are unexpected benefits from things. Obviously, I don't need my contact lenses or glasses anymore. I have over a year's supply of them left. Although it was unlikely that anyone I know would have my prescription, I posted it to my FB to see if anyone I knew could use them ( Read more... )

that is very cool. not so much the laid off as having an immediate destination for your no longer needed glasses & contacts!

Yeah, not cool to be laid off, but I'm really glad the contact lenses won't go to waste. I really hope they work for her.

Knowing my life, my lucky streak won't last. They never do. I've never been "lucky" before anyway. So for now... I won't take it for granted, and I'll do everything I can to keep it going. And I'll also try to spread the good vibes as much as I can.

I hope my sister finds a new job soon, too. She was finally getting her finances in order, and then... *BANG*

Well, I had good quality glasses and un-used contact lenses still sealed in the box. It would have been a horrible waste to throw them away, and I wanted someone to be able to use them. I really hope they work for her.
