The total word count for TNotF is 174,062.

The total word count for the whole Academy Series is 398,551.

Eeeee, congratulations! What an accomplishment. Have a drink and put your feet up. This story has been on my radar since you started talking about it. What with one thing and another, I haven't had the chance to sit down with it yet, but I'm looking forward to it - probably in the summer when there are fewer students underfoot.

Oh fun! You know... I'm really tempted to go back and read them myself, not as the writer, but as a reader. It's a different experience.

There are still things from AAtKM that I'm tempted to edit and change. I did it on such a deadline, and crunched it out so rapidly. There were scenes I didn't have time to write, and details people never got to see. I actually started writing a prequel that takes place on Tarsus IV, partially through the eyes of Janice Toland, and partly from Jim's POV. I wonder if I'll ever finish it.

I saw you finished and posted right before I went to work this morning. I quickly downloaded it to my iPad to read on my bus to work.

Mijan you are by far and away my favorite ST writer ever. You can obviously tell how much you care about the series and the characters, plus the realism from your own personal history added with the ability to tell a great story make these things the best ever. :D Thank you so much for writing and sharing with us!

*blushes* You're going to give me a swollen head, here! But yes, I do care about the characters and the series. I figure, if I'm going to do something, I'm going to do it right. I really enjoy telling stories, and I love knowing that people are reading my stories and enjoying them.
