The other day, paradise_city commented on due South and how she saw it as a show you LOVED or a show you didn't care about either way. This made me ridiculously happy, and I've only now decided to stop and think about why.

a small due south love declaration )

Aww I do understand. :)
Sometimes I go off the boil with shows (cannot do open canon with fanfics), but they're always still there and mean a lot. Can map my whole fandom life by CS.

Honestly, I put off watching the finale of dS for months and months and months because I didn't want the show to even, even though it had been for over ten years. And then I cried when it did come to an end, because I remembered why I loved the show so much and why I'd put it off on the first place. There's a lot of great TV, but I think that due South really was a little something special.

I agree that due South is probably a show that you either love or don't care about. I watched it with my dad back when they showed it on TNT and we loved it as a fun family show we could watch together. He didn't need to know that I then went and scoured the 'net looking for some hot homo lovin'! : ) I love how I can rewatch the episodes and be entertained every time.

Real people are totally overrated.

Dude, I totally get this exact feeling. I mean, for god's sake, no one else around me has even heard of this show and the couple of people I showed it to either flat out didn't like it (funny how we don't hang out anymore) or while they loved the pilot, they kind of lost interest when they started watching the show.

I have just finished rewatching the entire series again last night. I almost cried at the end. I have cried at the end, happy tears. I am pathetic, so yeah, that answers your question of, "is anyone as crazy as me?" Rolling in cabbage leaves, here.

............the more I hear about this show, the more convinced I become that I need to watch it.... Now all I need to do is get my hands on the episodes and get some free time. :)
