Oh, I love how the sequel is just as dark--possibly more so, in ways--than the prequel, yet it ends on such a sweeter note, as if hope is ringing in the air. You've aged all these characters so well, made them seem like teenagers forced into maturity with such finesse. I am envious of your prose, I'll readily admit. :D

That line absolutely killed me. It says so much in such an economic manner. You waste no words, but deliver an effective kick in the gut. I prefer a subtle touch with Charles' mummy issues, which you delivered. :)

Charles' mummy issues are fun, but not when you hit them over the head, so I prefer to be more subtle :)

I should write a fic about sleeping and tempt you to sleep before midnight (considering as how I never sleep before midnight, oh, the irony.)
