Yeah, new community. Know anyone who works in a Humane Society? Steer them there, so people can talk, whine or otherwise know there are other people in the same boat.

Sometimes, I just get scared for the animals we adopt out. For example, a guy adopted a black lab, we had named Rowdy. Because, well..he IS. Super active, needs a LOT of exercise, and this guy is a truck driver, who drives all over the country, and wanted a dog to take with him. Ok, so good news...they ARE doing the painting and such for the 'new' small dog, puppy iso, which means, I no longer have a cat iso. Since I don't have a lot of cats (or didn't as of my going home yesterday) thats just fine and dandy with me. I'll put as many cats as I can into the lobby, and pray for no slammings for at least a week or two. ( Read more... )

Well, talked to the boss, the Vet and our assistant director. Seems the idea I had about the 'mini' ISO in the lobby will take place. Basically, we've got some cages that have see through on the back. Those cages will be put in the odd corner, turned around so the cats can be seen, but not touched, with enough room for me to get my fat little ( Read more... )

this should be an interesting change. Basically...our puppy/small dog room and ISO will be where my cat ISO is, and I'll be taking puppy/small dog room and ISO. Not that I haven't done THAT before.
