To all those struggling with depression, or know someone who is, I believe this is an incredible resource for understanding it, as well as beginning a journey out of it.
I was depressed last night and was asking God for help and came across this book. It said "Life is a Temporary Assignment" I took comfort in that cause I was stressing so much over my life and where I am going. Why stress yourself over something that is only Temporary. Why be depressed when you are at work helping rude customers, just remember "Life is a Temporary Assignment". This saying keeps me going.
It is from the book called 'The Purpose Driven Life'

Friend away! (thought*- I think I may have said it that way beucase my 7-year old is currently yelling over and over, "Up, up, and away!")
You might really like the website I mentioned. I've seen the info help in amazing ways. While it looks like you've found a way to get away from depression when it hits, I find that website helps to root out the core.
Rick Warren does have some good things to say. I only wish that what he has to say was more relevant to our growing postmodern culture.

Currently I live with a married couple who have a 3 1/2 year old. I showed her your site. She was able to relate because you also are married with a kid and you and your wife seem to be very artistic. I think that is great. It is hard to find people who believe in God and are artistic, goth, industrial etc. I don't really like to label people, so forgive me if you feel I am labeling you. But sometimes it is hard to explain oneself or someone to describe what they are like

I agree. It is hard to explain oneself, especially when part of a counter-culture. I don't even know how to describe my faith to most people... "Hebraic Christian," "Jewish God-fearer," "Student of Judaism who believes Jesus is the Messiah, but I'm not Christian in the sense most people think of." It seems to require a conversation, rather than a title. Even still, quite a few people call me "Pastor," which I am to them, but I prefer "Spiritual Counselor," at least when describing what I do to someone.
As for music, I own a professional portable recording studio, as well as produce and compose. My last heavier adventure, I Am, was strangely called "Hardcore/Industrial/Goth/Emo/Metal" by the local scene. And then we added Experimental to the mix before going strictly into studio work and changing our name. I also love to write in the vein of Acoustic/Indie Rock. And one wouldn't think it of me, but in the last year, I started producing music for Hip-Hop and R&B. It's helped me hone in my writing skills for the Industrial
