Squircle!!! I think you need a little Bennett Bean and Cathy Bao Bean in your life. I met Cathy when I was in Pennsylvania, she wrote this book called The Chopsticks Fork Principle. It's all about blending cultures and deciding how to do that with raising her son (she is Chinese, Bennett is white). AND Bennett is apparently this wildly free-spirited ceramics artist who really just does his own thing. Cathy told a story about them getting invited to meet President Clinton at the White House...only Bennett didn't have a suit or like to wear socks. Cathy called some famous designer, I don't remember which one, and basically traded one of Bennett's famous ceramic pieces for a suit. Then he insisted that if he had to wear a suit, he wasn't going to wear socks. And didn't. To the White House. Awesome. :)
