Well, it's a pity I can't go to Melbourne to get the very first appearance of the Pokemon Tour, but the next one will be scheduled for September 30th and October 1st. This gives me a little less than two weeks to prepare. I have no idea how Ann is doing with her set of 6 down there in Melbourne, but that is the least of my worries. I know for sure that her Pokemon will do well in the first two.... maybe three rounds. To be honest, I don't know exactly how well seasoned this particular trainer is.... no matter how many times I rate her Pokemon, I keep on asking myself on why there are some weak moves in the set. Maybe it's to go with her theme perhaps? *nodnod*. As for me, I'm going to gear myself. I may not be a member, but I will be arming my set of six to the teeth! What will be my set of six? I have no clue. I have twenty of those Pokemon waiting for some well deserved action. The list is as follows:
Legendary
-------------
Latios (My favorite to use... but with that rule banning the soul dew to double his special attack and defense.... *sad*)
Kyogre (Pretty old prototype. Moveset is perfect, its stats is not quite there)
Groudon (Same as Kyogre)
Lugia (Raised to the best of my abilities, and given PP ups so that its moves won't run out too easily)
Zapdos (Holding Petaya Berry, which makes electricity turn fatal. Ouch)
Moltres (No idea what combos to use here)
Articuno (Mind reader + Sheer Cold...)
Aerodactyl (Rock Slide+King's rock is awesome!)
Tyranitar (Complements Aerodactyl well in 2v2 battles. 1 Dragon Dance and away she goes!)
Non Legendary
-----------------
Dodrio (F*ugly fast with choice band!)
Espeon (F*ugly powerful psychic attacker with almost the same speed! Guess who? That's Eevee! My Eevee! Lightvee!)
Tentacruel (Substantial defense put in and it has barrier)
Steelix (She's a solid wall! Which can explode!)
Charizard (He has blast burn... too bad the stats are messed)
Swampert (Messed up stats....)
Blissey (Very standard. But if I train Skarmory I will get a Skarmbliss team!)
Breloom (Very cheap! Put anyone to sleep then punch their lights out!)
Linoone (Belly drum+any attack=0wned)
Blaziken (Endure+Reversal. With Salac, he'll be almost unstoppable!)
Nidoking (Shiny! But fairly weak)
No kidding.... out of these twenty I have to choose six. But believe me when I say this, but these combatants are no ordinary pushovers. They can seriously put a dent on the enemy, myself included if I go against them. I may have enough time to train my 21st Pokemon up to level 100.... Potentially it can be Salamence or Metagross, but I know for sure that everybody else would be training them as well. Kingdra is another good choice, but finding a moveset which is not that predictable can be a chore.... But hey... if it's a Pokemon chore, I will deliver!
(Edit: *sweatdrops* Watched the past finals for the tourney in other countries. The Pokemon are REALLY powerful. I hope I don't run into a potential champ in the first round.)
