So my live-in partner went to the shops a few days back - and just never came back! At first i didnt really believe I could be that lucky (we didnt get on well) but now Im scared he'll actually return. I started to go through his things tho, he left clothes and paper work behind, and have found out he lied to me more than once, and ALL his things

Just an update - I went into the hock shop today and asked a couple questions, found out he's hocked some of MY property as well, including my sons game system. Had the cops turn up here as well looking for him, they just said he's well known with the police and is wanted for theft and fraud.

I had a roommate up and skip town with the rent money once. I went to work one day and when I came home the bulk of his stuff was gone. Several of my friends called him and he blocked our numbers. We hadn't had any kind of fight or anything, he just went poof. Almost got evicted, but I found someone else to move in who could cover the rent and late fees, and I paid all of rent the following month to make up for it.

Anyway, it looks like you are better off without him being around... I'd change the locks just to be safe. I wonder if you can press charges against him for hocking you and your son's stuff? Probably not worth the effort, but if the cops are already looking for him, then it gives them more ammo I suppose.
