[In light of certain questionable polls she was made privy to, Nami feels that a balance needs to be righted. Honestly? She doesn't much care about the answers. She just wants to have fun. |D]

[This gets a confused reaction from Robert.]

You... see souls? By what means? [First magic, then gods, and now this. Luceti, you are breaking Robert's brain here.]

Asking a creature such as myself a question like that is akin to asking why humans see the color blue. It is simply how my form of vision works. I sense the souls of living creatures.

[That... is a concept Robert wouldn't even have ever thought to apply to souls. Assuming he ever thought they existed.]

Well. Humans see the colour blue thanks to Rayleigh scattering and the physics of light wavelengths, which human rod and cone cells are adapted to.

By extension that means that your particular species must have an organ devoted to... somehow sensing souls... however that works. [What would a soul even be made out of?]

... To be frank, you are the first person who has ever talked seriously of souls that I have heard of. But then again, Luceti is full of... strange things.

[All that science jargon went in one ear and out the other. Thankfully, she already has her lineface on.]

I have come to accept that there are those in Luceti who come from worlds where the concept of tangible souls is foreign.

(OOC: When doesn't Cheyenne have her lineface on? *shot*)

[At least she's met worlds where that isn't the case.]

In my world, the concept of souls themselves are... foreign. [More like "laughable".]

What sort of things, in your world, possess a tangible soul?

[[ooc: Never, obviously!]]

All living things possess some semblance of a soul. However, I would only go so far as to say the various living creatures of my previous world had souls that could be tangibly proven by myself. Although I am capable of seeing creatures such as insects, I am incapable of discerning one tree from another, despite the fact that both are living.

[This information is so... strange but also interesting.]

I suppose the souls of trees are similar enough that there is little differentiation between species? [How is he having this conversation seriously.]

But... I must say, I would be very fascinated to see a demonstration of this remarkable ability at some point. [Even if he doesn't entirely believe souls exist yet... it still sounds remarkable, like this person can see some kind of non-electromagnetic energy.]

By discerning one tree from another, I mean to say I cannot see them well at all. They blend in with the environment much like non-living objects.

[Head-tilt.] And I do not see how I could demonstrate such an ability. As I mentioned, it is simply how vision works.

Ah, I see... [This makes Robert wonder.]

I wonder if I perhaps have a soul. [Creepy thought, that he has something he isn't aware of.] On Terra, such things were... more or less assumed to not be present.

I suppose a demonstration of that ability would require me being able to see through your eyes, then... [Thoughtful tone, here.] Though I would still be fascinated by the difference between how things appear to us.

Perhaps we could meet in person at some point, if this is feasible for you?
