[In light of certain questionable polls she was made privy to, Nami feels that a balance needs to be righted. Honestly? She doesn't much care about the answers. She just wants to have fun. |D]

[Intrigued by this statement.]

Are you perhaps a gynephilic person, then?

If so, I am pleased to meet another person who falls outside of the usual spectrum.

I'm sorry... but what do you mean?

[Robert pauses before he responds.]

A person attracted to those who identify as women. And, judging by the filter here, I presume you identify as a woman yourself.

I am a woman. I simply don't have any interest in men.

Then we are similar, albeit on opposite ends of the spectrum - I am a man with a strong preference for those who identify as men. [Robert's pretty much a... 5? on the Kinsey scale, though he'd put himself on a spectrum rather than a scale.]

It is reassuring to meet another person here who identifies as such.

I think that your opinion is as valid as anybody else's here, though. And there is no harm in discussing what one finds beautiful.

I see... Don't take this the wrong way, but I've never met one before.

Well... there are many beautiful girls here, but I'm already spoken for by one of them. I think... I'm not supposed to look at the other girls, am I not?

[Robert's voice has a bit of a smile in it.] Then I am honoured to be the first.

That is quite true. Though... I believe that would be up to the discretion of your partner. Still, your partner herself would count as a beautiful woman, would she not?

I don't believe we've met before, though. [He wants to keep up the formalities, here.] I am Professor Robert Alexander Hastings. [He wants to add the rest of his title - but doesn't, yet anyway.]

Oh my yes, she is quite the woman~ It was quite something to be her for a week~

[[This is right! She hasn't given HER title yet.]] Oh, my apologies. I am Valvalis, Lady of the Wind.

I am honoured to meet you, Valvalis. Or do you prefer to go as simply Lady of the Wind?

aero_dienamic February 10 2011, 03:48:37 UTC
Valvalis is quite alright.

So then... you WOULD have an opinion on Nami's question though.

Well... let's go ahead and hear it, shall we? [[There's two names she hopes not to hear.]]

[And now he's suddenly shy, if only because he has to say it again and damned if he doesn't want to mention them both.]

Ah... w-well. I have only met a few of the venerable men of Luceti, but...

Mr. David Jordan, the partner of Doctor Faye-Ling, is quite handsome.

[Robert says the next part quite shyly, in a very small tone. Really hoping this isn't going to get around. Probably with his luck someone will go right up to Helios and say it to his face.] I'm also, er, p-partial to Mr. Sprensonne.

I can't say I really know either of them. I do know Miss Litchi a bit, but...

Well, as long as it wasn't that damned dragoon boy...

Reply

semper_cogitans February 10 2011, 04:08:00 UTC
... Dragoon boy? [Robert has absolutely no idea what a dragoon is. The closest he can think of is "dragon" and he is certain he hasn't seen any of those - unless dragons can somehow look very hominid or something.]

I... have no real knowledge of whom or what you refer to.

Well, you're all the better for it then. If you don't know him already, then... it's nothing to worry about.

One of the less-than-agreeable people here, I presume? [Robert is thinking Jack Horner-esque, of course.] If he is, I would likely have steered clear of him myself.

It's that he's intolerable... He and I have a rather unpleasant history...
