Shotgun Wedding Log: Rei's Fashion Adventure

Nov 23, 2023 15:25

With the warmth of summer just starting to appear at the end of May, but before rainy season had actually had a chance to begin, Rei was feeling amazing! He had a precious day off work. Bou was stretched out in a sunbeam on the floor. And they had actual fresh fish for breakfast!

He hummed to himself as he got the fish and rice in bowls, then set them on the table. "Kei-kun~ Breakfast is ready~" He called to his ~boyfriend~. Even after dating for a couple of months now, he still couldn't get over the thrill of thinking of the other man that way. Even if they hadn't gone any further than hand and blow jobs so far, they had definitely been enjoying trying various permutations of those activities~

While he waited for Keigo to join him, he got some tea and water on the table as well.

Keigo is, if one is very charitable, awake. He comes into the kitchen, still in plaid pj pants and a sleep tank, hair thoroughly mussed. He's even smothering a yawn with his hand as he shuffles into the kitchen. That said, while he is not really awake, it's still nice to have Rei as a beaming beacon of energy, and there to provide food. "Mm, morning. Smells good."

The relationship finally feels *real*, now that they've been together for a while. He doesn't mind that they haven't tried anal yet -- that's not really up to him and he doesn't want to put any pressure on Rei - and they've still been having a lot of sex.

Rei's bright happiness turned up another notch as Keigo came into the room. "Right?? It's so special when we get fresh fish! I thought about saving it for dinner but... I wanted to use it when it was freshest, since that's best, right?" He said, settling into his seat. He wasn't dressed for the day yet either, seeing no reason to get dressed before making and eating breakfast when he didn't have anywhere to go that day.

In his state of barely-awake-ness, Keigo hasn't quite put together yet that it's Rei's day off - not having any real schedule plus his mental stuff makes it a little hard to keep track of what day it is, after all. He likes Rei's logic about the fresh fish, "Sounds good to me. Starting the day off right, right?"

He internally winces at the phrase 'right, right' since if he was a bit more awake he's sure he would have found a less obnoxious way to say that.

Rei, however, found nothing wrong with Keigo's words. The blessing of not being a writer, probably. "Yeah, exactly!" He agreed, then began to eat. After the first mouthful, he had to close his eyes and hum in absolute delight. Fresh fish was so much better than frozen, salted, or smoked. Well, maybe not always, but when he rarely ever had it, it really did feel that way.

Keigo sits down, says his thanks for the meal, and starts to eat. He is utterly unsurprised as a certain young cat saunters over to join them, and he tells her, "I'm surprised you waited for us to start eating the fish and didn't come over right when you first smelled it. Also we're not giving you any."

They can't, as it's clearly been seasoned.

At Keigo's words to their young cat, Rei actually blushed. "Umm.... I kind of held a little bit aside for her to go with her breakfast. I put it in the fridge to cool, though." He admitted. It wasn't a *lot* of fish, but there was a tiny taste of unseasoned, fresh cooked fish for their baby. "I was surprised that she kept laying in the sunbeam while I was cooking, though. Maybe because she finally understands she doesn't get anything while I'm cooking?" Which, honestly, made it make *more* sense that she was there now. She was probably used to the guitarist keeping something special for her *after* he was done cooking.

The lyricist chuckles warmly, not surprised at all that Rei had saved a taste for her. Very sweet. "That's fine; as long as it's unseasoned. And it makes sense, she should be getting more used to her schedule and the rules." While Keigo often lets her sit on his lap, he really feels like she's there to try to sneak some fish away from him, so he pushes her gently back off when she comes up.

"Nope, I pulled it out before I added any seasoning. There's just a little oil, but I tried to pat most of that off too." Rei responded before going back to almost inhaling his breakfast. It really did taste so much better to him than normal. Seeing Keigo push their princess back down almost made him laugh. Bou was just too cute sometimes~

"That's probably fine then," Keigo admits, although he only thinks it's fine because they rarely feed her their own food anyways. At Rei's laugh, he defends his actions, "I don't trust her to not try to steal my fish."

That just made Rei laugh more. "You're probably right, she would love to steal some right off your plate~" He agreed, then continued to enjoy his breakfast. It tasted so good, and he was so hungry, that it didn't take long at all for every bit of fish and grain of rice to disappear from his own plate. He didn't get up right away, though, just enjoying relaxing at the table with his boyfriend while Keigo finished up his meal. This was probably the first obvious indication that the guitarist didn't actually have to work that day.

"And it would make her sick, so really, I'm being kind," Keigo insists. He enjoys the rather special (if admittedly still basic, as that's just their life) breakfast, noticing that Rei's not rushing away. "Later shift? Or are you off today?"

"Yeah, but *she* doesn't know that~" Rei replied, though he definitely was not trying to make a case for Bou to get her way either. That question brought a bright smile to his lips. "I'm off! A whole day of no work~"

"Oh wow," Keigo is instantly far more interested in getting to have Rei around all day than Bou's totally normal antics. Their relationship has been feeling more real over time, which only makes it more wonderful, "What do you want to do today?"

That enthusiasm wasn't lost on Rei, and his smile got even bigger, if that were possible, "Honestly, I don't know! Something fun, though!" He responded, only really starting to think about possibilities after he spoke.

Keigo chuckles living the unfocused excitement. "We could go for a walk or stay in or... We can see if we have the money for anything else."

"Ooooooh~ Go out? It's so nice out now! And after work we always just stay in." Rei responded, rather decisively, and not a little excitedly. The reason they stayed in after his work was over was usually because he was tired, but that didn't change the fact that is was true!

Part of them staying in is Keigo occasionally turning into a lump for whom getting out of bed at all is a success story, but he's feeling fine now, all the more reason to head out and enjoy the weather on his boyfriend's day off. "Do we go walk around the park?" That being the place they most often go when they go out.

"That sounds fun to start!!" Rei agreed brightly. With it being so warm out now, he also had another thought, "And maybe I can wear my dress!" He hadn't really had a chance to wear the piece of clothing much since purchasing it, and before now it hadn't really been warm enough to warrant wearing it outside either.

Keigo blinks, mildly surprised although he doubts Rei would pick up on his reaction since it was subtle. He knew Rei had a dress - he's seen his boyfriend flounce around the house in it once or twice, and it is adorable, but he hadn't quite put together that Rei intended to wear it outside at some point. Now, he obviously has no problem with Rei wearing a dress wherever and whenever he wants. The guitarist is adorable in it. He's slightly concerned about outside because of *other* people. And he's honestly not sure if Rei would have thought about those implications or not. "If you want to wear it outside, I support you. But... you might get some mean reactions from people...."

Rei definitely had not thought about any negative reactions that he might get if they went out and about with his dress on. If they'd been back in their hometown, yes, but Tokyo seemed like a special, other world to him in that way. "...You think so? But Miko-kun wears dresses outside all the time." He countered, thinking that if the reactions were that bad, Mikoto would change before going outside. He would, wouldn't he?

"Yes, Mikoto-kun does wear dresses outside. And he has long hair, and when he's wearing dresses he's wearing makeup, and I don't even know what it is that he does to make his body shape look more womanly, but he definitely does something. Basically, he doesn't just 'wear a dress', he actually does things to pass as a girl," Keigo explains. He definitely could tell the difference between girl mode Mikoto and boy mode Mikoto and can tell it goes beyond fashion. "Now, I'm not saying those people are right. I think you should be able to wear the dress if you want, and probably most people won't mind. But some people might."

Now, actually passing as a woman would be a different thing, but honestly he doesn't know if Rei's goal is to be womanly or just to wear a dress, which can definitely be two very different things.

That whole explanation brought a confused and thoughtful frown to Rei's face. He didn't want to look like a girl, he just wanted to wear his cute dress! "...Should I call and ask Miko-kun?" He asked, not sure what to do now. He wanted to enjoy the day, and he wanted to wear his dress, but he also didn't want them to have problems while being out and about.

Keigo feels bad about having clearly confused Rei, but still felt it was better to make his boyfriend properly aware of the situation so Rei can make an informed decision. "Hmm, do you want to look like a girl? If so, then I think you may want to talk to Mikoto-kun. If you don't want to look like a girl, that's fine. I'll be with you and I don't think anyone will hurt us. In fact I think it will *probably* be fine, but... I didn't want you to go outside and be surprise by someone giving a nasty look or something."

Rei shook his head at the question about whether he wanted to look like a girl or not. "Not really... I just want to be me. But... would it be better if I did?" He asked, turning his confused, but somewhat hopeful eyes on his boyfriend. He still didn't want to have people give him a bad look, but he thought it might be okay as long as people didn't actually *say* or *do* anything negative to him. Honestly, he probably wouldn't notice the looks.

"I'm not going to say it would be 'better', because to me the best thing is what makes you happy. It might be safer though," Keigo replies, although he doesn't think it's a very high danger level. He explains, "It's like how it's not really safe for us to like... kiss in the park where anyone can see us. Most people probably wouldn't mind. Some people might not like it but would keep it to themselves. There's a small chance of someone giving us a mean look, or yelling something rude, and a super small but not zero chance of it being actually dangerous." He shrugs. He doesn't want to tell Rei what to do, he just wants the other man to be able to make his own decision with a full understanding of the situation.

With that further explanation, Rei's excitement visibly dampened. Why did people care so much about stupid things like clothes and kisses? "Maybe I should call him and ask anyway..." The guitarist responded, thinking that he and Keigo were working off of maybes, but Mikoto would know far better what the dangers were of him walking around as an obvious boy in a dress. As it was right now, it kind of felt like a bad idea for him to just do what he wanted.

"If you want to go out, I fully support you. And I'll tell off anyone who is nasty," Keigo assures Rei, since he didn't want the other boy to feel bad. He nods, and says, "Of course, call Mikoto-kun if you want."

Rei smiled at Keigo's assurances, but it wasn't anywhere near as incandescently bright as normal. "Thanks Kei-kun~ I think I'll call Miko-kun, just in case first, though." He said, then got up to go to his room and grab his phone to dial the blond bassist.

Keigo settles on the sofa, immediately joined by Bou. The kitten is practically an unofficial emotional support animal at this point, attracted to the bassist immediately as he gets anxious. He scarcely notices on a conscious level, but starts to pet her. He really feels guilty, putting a damper on Rei's excitement, but he'd feel even worse if he didn't say anything and some dickhead said something while Rei was totally unprepared.

Mikoto is not at work, so he answers the phone quickly, "Hey Rei-kun, what's up?"

"Hi Miko-kun!" Rei said, his voice bright, but not *as* bright as usual. Honestly, it was probably more surprising that Mikoto wasn't still dead asleep at this time in the morning, but Rei didn't think about that. "Can I ask you something about wearing dresses?" He asked, which was kind of weird, really. Normally he would just blurt out all of his questions without consideration.

While Mikoto was not expecting that to be Rei's question, it's also true that you never really know what the guitarist will be asking about. The blond is aware enough to notice that he isn't getting the flood of questions he would have expected, so he's definitely paying attention now, "Huh? Yeah, sure. Ask away."

"So, um, I have today off, so Kei-kun and I were going to go for a walk in the park, and I wanted to wear my dress, because it's so nice out, but Kei-kun said that people might not like it, and might be mean... so I wanted to ask you if people would be really mean? Like... would it be bad for me to wear it? Should I not? Or is it okay? Kei-kun said he would be okay with it and tell anyone off that was mean, but I don't want to do it if it'll be bad?" And there was the flood of words.

Aa, yes, now that's the kind of run-on sentence the bassist had been expecting. He nods his head along with it, keeping up with the stream well especially since he's spent a lot of time with the other man in the band. "Hmm, well, Keigo-kun is right that there could be people who could be mean, and I think it's good for you to know that. But if you want to do it, then do it. Cuz fuck those people. We don't them decide who we can date, right? So why let them choose what we can wear?"

There are some safety tips he can give; like don't do it at night in an area with a lot of drunk people, and stick to busy urban places (like Ueno park) rather than quiet suburbs or whatever.

Rei listened anxiously while Mikoto basically said the same thing his boyfriend had, but with one small difference. That 'fuck society' attitude made the guitarist blink, then giggle. "Yeah~ Fuck them! They can't tell us what to do!" He agreed, renewed joy and brightness in his voice now. "Okay! I'm gonna wear it!" He added decisively, but he didn't hang up or anything, allowing Mikoto to give any other advice he deemed important.

Mikoto smiles at Rei agreeing with his attitude. He goes ahead and gives his best safety tips, and then adds, "Keigo-kun has a good head on his shoulders; so if you're trying to decide if something's safe or not, and you can't reach me, I think listening to him is a good idea. Even he didn't say you couldn't go out, right? It is probably safest to go out *with* someone anyways."

Rei nodded enthusiastically to Mikoto's suggestions, then grinned at the blond's faith in Keigo. "Okay! I will!" He promised, then added, "Thanks Miko-kun! Talk to you later~" He said, then hung up and bounced over to Keigo. "Okay, okay~ I'm gonna wear my dress and we can go out, and we can not care about people being stupid~" He announced, back to being bright, cheery, and enthusiastic now that he had an expert's opinion that 100% matched his boyfriend's.

Keigo definitely perks up, glad to hear Rei sounding more like himself. He's also glad Rei is going to wear his dress *and* be informed at the same time. He scoops Bou up, since it sounds like they both need to go get dressed now, "Sounds good."

"Yay~" Rei enthused, then bounced away to his room so he could get dressed. He got his dress on, pulled on some cute, knee-high socks, then went into the bathroom to lightly style his hair. He also added just a little eyeliner to his look and headed back out to the living room to wait for Keigo to be ready.

Keigo goes, Bou wandering off losing interest immediately as the man starts to get dressed. Despite the warmer weather, he's still dressed in layers because that's all he does. Ripped up old jeans, a tshirt, and a plaid button up over top of it all is his version of warm weather wear. He can't help the big smile he gets seeing Rei looking excited and adorable in his outfit. "Looking good, Rei-kun."

Rei's grin, if possible, got even broader and brighter at Keigo's compliment, and he swished his skirt around a little. "It feels so nice~" He said, then flounced over to the entryway to get his shoes on. Yes, they were just runners, but with the cute socks and the not-too-fancy dress, they looked fine, at least in his mind.

Honestly, with Keigo's vibe, a dress similar to a skater dress with running shoes actually works really well, and they even look like they go together. "I'm glad you like it." He says genuinely, although he couldn't imagine wanting to wear it himself. That doesn't matter to him. He can't comprehend the mindset of anyone who really cares what other people wear.

"I really do~" Rei agreed happily, then waited while Keigo got his shoes as well. Once they were all ready, he waved at Bou, who was back to sunning in a sunbeam on the floor. "Be good, Bou-chan~ We'll be back later~" He said, then opened the door so they could head out. Being outside the apartment in his dress gave him a little thrill of excitement. A little nervousness after the serious discussions, but mostly excitement.

Keigo smiles at his adorable boyfriend saying proper farewells to their cat, and takes that time to send up a silent prayer to any deities or karmic forces that could be listening that Rei didn't get hassled today. Come on, the guy is so sweet, and has already been through enough in life, he doesn't deserve that. He feels a bit better once they're out of the building, honestly, since there's something a lot more impersonal, a lot more anonymous about being out on the city streets.

The bounce was definitely there in Rei's step as they headed out of the building. He was kind of glad that they didn't run into any of their neighbours. Not because he was embarrassed (he wouldn't have worn the dress outside at all if that were the case), but because he didn't want to know if one of their neighbours would be the type to say mean things to him. He just wanted to believe forever that everyone they lived near was as nice as they seemed.

Keigo is a little on edge at first, just because he feels like he's responsible for protecting Rei's happiness, and that he's generally the more aware of them. But as they pass by more people and nothing really happens, he starts to relax. They have to cross the busy intersection in front of the station to get to the park, which means waiting in the sea of pedestrians for the 5 way cross, but still, nobody says anything, and while he catches people looking, it's not the angry glares that he's worried about.

Honestly, Rei's very petite nature probably made it so, unless someone was really looking, or took a second glance, short, thin, and in a dress with slightly shaggy, near shoulder-length blond hair with red tips just automatically read as 'girl' to people, even if he didn't look like a girl at all. Thankfully, it seemed like the people who did take note of him very much being a boy in a dress were either confused, bemused, or exasperated, rather than actually negative. Not that Rei really noticed that. He, by turns, had his eyes on his boyfriend, or watching the general world around him, enjoying how nice it felt to be out in the warm air and gentle breeze with his cute dress on.

This would likely be a very different experience back in their hometown, but in a major urban part of Tokyo? Well, most people here had seen weirder, honestly. As nothing immediately goes horribly wrong, Keigo relaxes more, especially as they start enjoying their stroll in the large Ueno park, which he hangs out at so much it just feels comfortable to be here for him.

With nothing at all untoward happening as they made their way across to the park, Rei was feeling very good indeed. He really wanted to grab Keigo's hand, but he remembered that there were issues with *that* out in public too, so he didn't want to rock the boat too much unless Keigo deemed it okay and reached for his hand first. He did continue to smile at his boyfriend as they made it onto one of the pathways in the park, though. "It's such a beautiful day!" He enthused, it actually being nicer out than he'd initially thought it would be.

Keigo wants to hold hands... but feels like they've already got the skirt thing going on, so it's better not to draw more ire. He could easily imagine someone being irked by the outfit, but then being pushed over the edge by the more obvious gay thing. "It really is. There are definitely more flowers blooming than last time I was here."

"Yeah? Do you remember which ones are new?" Rei asked, all interest and excitement, even if he knew basically nothing about flowers. Ironic since his boyfriend and best friend seemed to like them quite a bit, and one of his newest friends, Naoto, literally worked in a flower shop.

"Oh, these ones definitely are," Keigo replies, leading the way over to a planter with some nice purple flowers. He has no idea what they're called - he's not that good with flowers. But coming to the park regularly and spending a lot of time here, in (the cultivated) nature really helps to regulate his moods.

"Ooooooh~ They're really pretty~" Rei enthused, moving over to look at the planter with Keigo. He, obviously, had no idea what the flowers were called either, but little purple flowers were a win anyway, at least in his books. He reached out to lightly touch the petals on one of the flowers and smiled at how soft they were.

"I come here a lot, but... whoever designed the park really made it so that it feels very different every month or two, as different things come into season. It's really amazing. There's always something new and pretty to look at," Keigo replies. And he bets if he lives here long enough he'll get used to the cycles of it too.

"Oh neat! So there's always different things growing and blooming?" Rei asked, honestly pretty shocked and amazed that this could be done. Of course, he had noticed that parks like this always seemed to have something in bloom, but he hadn't really thought about it before. He certainly hadn't taken as close observation as Keigo had.

"Mhmm. I guess the gardeners or whatever know when flowers tend to bloom, and place them around so there's always something. Like right now this path is the best because it has these flowers, but a few months ago the boulevard was nicer when the sakura were in bloom," Keigo explains, seriously spending a lot of time here.

"I'm so glad I get to walk through here with you~ You know all the best ways to go~" Rei almost sing-songed, adoration more than clear in his voice. He really did think it was wonderful that Keigo knew all the best places for them to walk to enjoy their day. It made things perfect, even if they didn't have the extra cash to use on dates.

Keigo smiles at that praise, although he immediately downplays it, "That's just because I come here so often," as that's the only secret to his ability. But it is even better being able to share this with Rei.

"Well, how else would you know?" Rei replied, obviously thinking the 'coming here often' was a big plus, not something that took away from his boyfriend's ability to show him the best places.

Keigo laughs, not quite sure how the conversation had gone this way, although that's not an uncommon thing to happen when you're hanging out with Rei. "I mean, true I guess."

Rei's face lit with a bright grin at Keigo agreeing with him. "So~ Are there more cool flowers this way~?" He asked, starting to head down the path that his boyfriend had indicated. He still really wanted to curl his hand into Keigo's, but he resisted by looking all around at their surroundings.

"Mhmm, my expert experience suggests that this path, and then over by the zoo is the prettiest walk through Ueno park currently," Keigo replies, taking on airs of being a professional guide based on their previous discussion.

Rei giggled happily at that 'guide' persona that Keigo was affecting, totally enjoying it. Maybe it was the confidence? Or maybe it was just that it was Keigo. Either way, it was fun, and he liked it. "Ooooh~ do you think we could go over to the zoo part today too?" He asked, not sure they could actually go *in* the zoo, but seeing both 'best' trails sounded good to him, if they could.

"Yeah, when this path ends, we go right and south a bit, and we'll be by the zoo. Then... we can come back down the main boulevard and if we're lucky there'll be some kind of street performance," Keigo suggests as a planned route.

"Ooooooh~ I like that plan!" Rei responded excitedly, "And then it'll probably be time for lunch!" He added, thinking this was a really nice, really cheap kind of date that they could both enjoy, plus it got him some exercise that *wasn't* just standing on his feet all day at work, or rocking out at practice (and occasionally playing a small live house/bar here or there). "Is the whole way usually busy?" He asked, wondering if there would be a point where he *could* hold hands with Keigo for a little bit.

"Hmm, a bit busy," Keigo replies, trying to think if there's somewhere they can duck in for a private moment. "Maybe if we head over by the Toshogu shrine -- wait is it weird to do something near a shrine?"

That initial reply brought a cute little pout to Rei's lips, but that next considering thought made him brighten just a bit. The question, though, made him frown in thought. "Ummm... I don't think it's weird?" He said, not really being a religious person at all. To Rei, shrines were just cool buildings you went to for special life things and for new years.

"We can give it a try; it's just a little detour before we get to the zoo," Keigo suggests. He can't promise it'll give them privacy, but it's probably their best chance today, he thinks.

"Okay, okay~" Rei replied happily, then proceeded to skip a little down the path. He didn't want to leave Keigo behind, not at all, but he had all this happy energy and not much to do with it at the moment. The way the hem of the skirt moved with the skipping motion was also super fun for him~

Keigo doesn't feel left behind at all. Don't take this comparison in a rude way, but it's a little bit like going for a walk with your dog. You know the dog loves you and will come back, and you have to give it the slack to wander around and enjoy itself. He gets his hands in his pockets and walks along, enjoying watching Rei. Just seeing the other man's energy gives him a sense of peace. "This way," He calls, as he goes down an offshoot of the path.

Every so often Rei would stop to look at something, or just circle back to Keigo to walk with him for a bit before skipping off again. It felt lovely, and so far there had been no negative reactions that he had noticed, even with the number of people around. It really felt perfect~ He was just getting beyond that offshoot of the path when Keigo called out, and Rei immediately looked back at his boyfriend and came, almost running, back to the other man so they could take the detour. "Is this the way to the shrine~?"

Because of their long friendship, Keigo has a comfort level where he knows that he's not holding Rei back at all, even though he's just walking along at a steady pace. He'll come over and check something out if Rei finds something neat and calls him over. At the question he nods, "Yeah. If we stay on the path we'll end up by the zoo, but this'll bring us to the shrine, and there probably aren't too many people there. Maybe."

Rei definitely didn't feel held back by Keigo. If he did, he wouldn't hesitate to grab the other man's hand to drag him along at that point. No one could think one boy physically dragging the other could be romantic, right? No, he knew they were both enjoying things in their own way, and he always made sure he wasn't getting too far away from his boyfriend, because that wouldn't be nice *or* fun. "Oh good!" He responded excitedly, then took to actually walking next to Keigo again so they could enjoy the path that was, even now, less populated than the main path they'd been on. "Do you come up to the shrine sometimes on your walks too?"

"Not very often. But one time I helped some tourists find it -- they knew the name of it in Japanese but couldn't read the kanji on the park map," Keigo explains. There are a few small shrines like this in the park and they don't hold any special meaning to him. Although at this point he's pretty comfortable saying he's been down every path and to every corner of the park at least once.

"Ah~ So still kind of unexplored!" Rei replied, taking this as a positive in that they could take looking around and exploring as an excuse to find somewhere without any people around without that exploration being completely boring.

Keigo wouldn't exactly put it that way, but Rei seems excited so there's no reason to contradict him. "Sure. You definitely haven't been down this way before, right?"

Rei shook his head, already slightly dishevelled hair flying. "Nope! I haven't done a lot of walking here at all." He admitted. After all, the *last* thing he wanted to do after a long shift of all standing was to go walking anywhere for fun.

"When we start getting a bit more money from the band, I'd like to go to the zoo and some of the art museums and stuff," Keigo admits, feeling a bit like a completionist for video game achievements, but those are the only spots in the park he hasn't been to thus far. The path takes them up, and there are a lot more trees.

"The zoo~ The zoo for sure!" Rei enthused, sounding for all the world like a little kid that had never been to a zoo before. And he certainly had never been to the Ueno zoo! Museums... depending on the museum, it might keep the energetic man's attention, but honestly Keigo might get more enjoyment out of them going with Keiji than with his boyfriend. "Oh wow~ It's like we're going into a forest~" Rei's voice hushed automatically with the calm, quiet atmosphere around them.

"Back off the main path, there's a little trail up to an alcove surrounded by pine trees; that place is pretty neat too. Maybe I'll show you on the way back," Keigo suggests, voice also getting quieter. He's totally unsurprised by Rei wanting to go to the zoo, but he would enjoy it too so he's not going to judge. When they get to the shrine there's nobody there AND they hadn't encountered anyone on the path over to it.

"Oooooooh~ Sounds romantic~" Rei replied quietly, then grinned when they got to the completely deserted shrine. "Kiss~?" He asked, eyes sparkling, since there seemed to be literally no one around to see. He was open to moving somewhere a little less likely to be spotted if someone did show up, though.

"It is nice there, a bit more likely to have other people than this shrine though I think," Keigo has to admit, which puts a damper on the romanticism of it to him. He smiles at Rei's suggestion, as if it hadn't been totally obvious what was on the guitarist's mind ever since he asked Keigo if there was somewhere less busy. Besides, if someone does come, probably they'll see two people kissing, one in a dress, assume it's a het couple and leave again, if they're lucky. "Sure," he says, opening up his arms to the adorable boyfriend he's so lucky to be with.

"Yaay~" Rei responded before immediately moving into those welcoming arms and wrapping his own around Keigo's waist. Then he leaned up for that kiss, closing his eyes and forgetting about the world for a little bit.

Keigo gets his arms firmly around Rei's back, and leans into that kiss, letting his own eyes slide closed as well. Feeling the other man's arms settle around his waist feels great, and he's glad for this time together -- where he's in a good mood, the weather is nice, and Rei can be comfortable doing exactly what he wants to do.

If his lips weren't so well engaged already, Rei would have let out a happy sigh. As it was, he relaxed into his boyfriend's hold and just enjoyed the kiss, and the moment, thoroughly. He wasn't even thinking about the outside world enough to even worry about someone spotting them now. It just all felt nice.

There's this simple beauty in Rei finding stillness and calm in his arms, with the only movement being their lips gently moving against each other. A light breeze goes by, and it's finally warm enough that it feels pleasant instead of causing a chill.

Truly, it was special, the way that Rei's heart, mind, and body all seemed to calm and still when in his boyfriend's arms. It wasn't something that anyone else could really cause in him, that he knew of. The guitarist just seemed to melt into the kiss, loving every single second of this moment.

Keigo lets himself go as well, enjoying the kiss and the calm it brings. He lets one hand move up into Rei's soft hair though, ruffling it gently out of affection.

Rei enjoyed the initial way that Keigo's hand slid up into his hair, but when it began ruffling his hair that way, he started to giggle, which inevitably broke the kiss. "You're so silly~" He told his boyfriend. As if that wasn't the ultimate pot calling the kettle black.

"Hmm? *Me*?" Keigo responds with fake indignancy at the notion that he was the silly one. Although truthfully, he doesn't mind being silly at all if it makes Rei giggle like that. He doesn't move away from his boyfriend, not at all. They may not be kissing anymore, but holding each other close like this is nice too.

"Yes~ You~" Rei responded with a big smile, before leaning up and pecking Keigo's lips again. It did feel really good holding each other out here under the sunlight with trees all around, and the shrine right there as well. "Does this feel romantic to you too~?" He asked, maybe a little suddenly.

Keigo smiles as he accepts the sweet small kiss Rei gifts him, then tilts his head at his boyfriend's question, finding it quite odd. "Of course. Anyone can tell this is incredibly romantic, right?" He makes sure his smile is warm for Rei, not wanting his words to sound judgmental. Rather he was agreeing with his boyfriend's sentiment whole-heartedly.

That way of agreeing with him made Rei giggle happily again. "Mmhmm~" He responded, then cuddled right into Keigo's chest for a quiet moment, his hand sliding just a little ways up his boyfriend's back.

Keigo keeps his hand in Rei's hair, closes his eyes, and just relaxes completely. The sun, and the breeze, birds chirping in the trees remind him that they're outside, but it feels so precious to be able to cherish his boyfriend safely in a spot like this.

"Mmmmm..." Rei sighed happily, then gave his boyfriend a squeeze of a hug. "Can we hold hands when we go back to walking, at least up here?" He asked, not at all switching how he was standing for the moment, just asking for the near-ish future.

The lyricist isn't 100% sold on it being a good idea, but it's hard for him to resist Rei in general, and especially with his boyfriend looking so cute in his arms, "... ok. Just until we get back on the larger path though."

Rei tilted his head back to bestow another happy smile on the other man. "Yay~ Okay!" He responded, since this was definitely what he'd meant. He was sure once they got back down to the main path he'd be feeling the need to burn off a little more energy again, plus he already knew they couldn't walk hand in hand where there were so many people.

"Are you thinking of heading back now?" Keigo asks. Sure, they have a plan for what they'll do as they head back, but he isn't sure if that means Rei wants to leave this little alcove yet or not. Keigo's already thinking of coming back here with a notebook to channel this energy.

Rei shook his head at the question. "Mm-mm. Even if we stop being like this, I wanna walk hand in hand near the shrine before going back." He admitted, wanting to enjoy being all couple-y as long as possible.

"Ok," Keigo replies, getting that the request to walk holding hands was not a request to leave yet. Which is absolutely fine by him. Which also leads him to ask, "Can I kiss you again, then?"

Now that question was one that Rei really, really liked. "Yes please~" He responded eagerly, his face already turned up and ready for that offered kiss.

The bassist hadn't been expecting any other answer, but there's something magical about asking to give a kiss and getting the OK, so he has no regrets about how he'd gone about it. They're still wrapped up close in a hug, so it's very easy to lean down and kiss his beloved Rei again.

Sure, movies and tv dramas showed all these surprise, passionate kisses, but Rei really liked the being asked. It let him know it was coming for sure, and get to enjoy it 100%, rather than maybe 99% because it was a surprise. Plus, he was pretty sure that on screen romances were real in the same way that porn was: not really. Real life, with real kisses, and real consent was sooooo much better.

Keigo thinks there is something to the occasional surprise, passionate kisses, but there was no overwhelming rush of passion leading him to this kiss, so getting consent was definitely better. This was an easy, familiar kiss, just sharing their joy and love for each other, and there isn't anything sudden about that. Which is even better. This isn't the start, it's a continuation.

Everything about this moment made Rei happy, and he leaned right into the kiss, letting just a little more of his weight settle against Keigo, before giving a very happy little sigh. "Mmmm~ Thank you for the perfect kiss~!" He said, slowly opening his eyes to look at Keigo again.

"Oh no," Keigo jokes, somehow feeling Rei looking at him and opening his eyes, "If it's perfect, does it mean no other kisses will ever be as good?" He doesn't think that's the case, he's just feeling playful.

"Nooooope~ We just have to have more perfect kisses, and even better than perfect kisses~" Rei responded with sweetly innocent belief in this fact, smiling broadly into his boyfriend's eyes.

Keigo chuckles warmly at that, and decides to make an attempt at one upping the earlier kiss already, leaning back in for another kiss slowly, all while gazing back at Rei in turn.

The way that Keigo leaned in for that kiss, basically staring at him all the way in, made Rei feel excited and like giggling in turns. In the end, he leaned up into the kiss, moving his arms up to wrap securely around Keigo's neck, and let his happy giggles bubble between their lips.

In one way, it's a terrible kiss, because Rei's giggles make Keigo laugh and it's making it pretty hard to really press their lips together. But that joy, and the incredibly familiar feeling of those arms around his neck, makes it wonderful nonetheless.

When Keigo started to laugh, Rei giggled even more, and it was probably their least successful kiss ever, but it *was* incredibly fun~ When they finally gave up trying to press their laughing lips together, Rei leaned against his boyfriend and continued to giggle helplessly, though his arms still stayed where they were around Keigo's neck.

Keigo's still laughing too. He has his arms around Rei still, and he moves them so they're swaying side to side - which makes Rei's dress swish. Moments like this hardly feel real to Keigo, who spends a lot of time in a funk, and who really thought that his feelings for Rei were one sided for a long time.

That rocking motion was fun all on its own, but the way the skirt swished back and forth against the back of his legs just felt so free and wonderful that Rei felt even better somehow. He continued to giggle away, loving the day, the place, the situation, and just everything about *right now*. Yeah, this counted as *at least* as perfect as the perfect kiss~

Keigo adoringly holds Rei until they both manage to calm down some. As amazing and lovely as this moment is, they probably can't stay here for eternity. Gently, he asks, "Should we continue on on our walk?"

At that question, Rei smiled happily and nodded, letting Keigo go, but only so he could put his hand in his boyfriend's. He definitely hadn't forgotten his desire to walk hand in hand around the area, then back down to the main trail. "Okay~ Let's keep walking~" He agreed with a happy little sing-song to his voice.

Keigo smiles warmly as their hands link. He wishes they could do it all the time, but he's definitely going to enjoy this brief moment to enjoy it. He sets a slow pace for them so that this feeling can linger.

Rei hummed happily as he lightly swung their hands between them as they walked. He didn't mind the slow pace right now, knowing that there was only a short time that they could do this before having to separate again. After all, when they got back to the main path, then he could let out another burst of energy.

Despite the attempt to go slow, they do inevitably get back in sight of the main path, at which point Keigo lets his hand slide out of Rei's. It's unfortunate but it's just the world they live in. He resumes walking in the direction of the zoo, and enjoying watching Rei's antics.

Rei really was enjoying the hand-in-hand walk, but by the time they got to the place where they had to let go, he was honestly itching to do more than just walk sedately. This was probably mirrored in the increased speed and distance in the swing of their clasped hands between them, and once he was 'free', the petite guitarist went skipping off to look at something off to the other side of the path. But not before bestowing a very happy smile on his boyfriend in lieu of the kiss they couldn't have here.

Keigo returns that smile with a warm one of his own, honestly just as happy to see Rei dash off somewhere. He loves Rei, after all, including this part of the man. He just wishes that he could always be at ease like this, so Rei wouldn't have to deal with his downturns. But there's nothing he can do about that (even if he hasn't personally noticed yet that there has been some mild improvement there).

Sure, there were better, and less better, moments in their lives, but for Rei, Keigo was Keigo. He had gotten rather used to his best friend's cycles over the years, and while he enjoyed times like this the most (and knew the other man did too), he also loved the manic phases, when Keigo's energy was as high as his own, and had found ways to at least deal with his boyfriend's low points. At least, he knew how to keep Keigo eating at those times, and he felt that was the most important thing. When they were a bit of a ways down the path, Rei stopped and crouched down to look closer at a particular plant. He leaned really far in... then looked excitedly over at his boyfriend. "Ne, ne~ Kei-kun, come look!" When the other man came over, he would see what Rei was looking at: a butterfly chrysalis hanging from a branch.

Keigo doesn't notice at first that Rei has stopped to look at something, until his boyfriend is crouched there for quite a bit, and leaned over so far he was slightly concerned the other man was going to overbalance and face plant. But he definitely heads over to look when summoned. It takes a bit of searching to see it, "Oh, cool."

"Isn't it??" Rei enthused, very excited by his find, "I wonder what kind of butterfly it'll be when it.... hatches? Opens? Bursts? Whatever it does to let the butterfly out." He was just now realizing that he had no idea how a butterfly got out of its cocoon.

"I think people usually say 'comes out' or 'emerges', " Keigo replies, not so much on the scientific side of how the butterfly gets out, but more on the literary side. What he usually reads when it's being discussed. "If we'd seen the caterpillar we could try to look it up, I'm guessing we won't have much luck with just the cocoon to go on."

Rei giggled at that first description. "Gay butterflies~" He said, mostly to himself, illustrating what thought had amused him so. The fact that they probably couldn't figure out what butterfly it was now was pretty much what he had expected, but it was still vaguely disappointing. "Oh well... maybe if we come back in a few weeks there will be butterflies around, and we can see what it maybe was~" He suggested whimsically.

"Sure," Keigo replies. He thinks he might just make sure to walk through here every time he comes to the park for a little while. Chances of him catching the magical moment are extremely low, but just imagine how excited Rei would be if he did, and could communicate it back to his friend. As for gay butterflies, he smiles, "The queer community uses butterflies a lot to talk about trans people. They go through transition, and hopefully they can feel like they've emerged as a beautiful butterfly when they can finally show the world their true selves."

"Yay~" Rei responded brightly, before moving to stand back up. The talk about butterflies and their relations to trans people was fascinating to the guitarist. "Oooooh~ That's really cool! And I guess trans people have to 'come out' too, so that still works~ Yay for pretty trans butterflies~" He enthused, though he did keep his voice from getting as loud as he might have liked. They were still out in public, and he didn't want to make things uncomfortable with the people around them.

"Sometimes trans people come out a couple times -- there's still not a lot of awareness of trans people, so sometimes trans people might think they're gay at first -- when actually they're straight but just aren't living as their gender yet," Keigo has definitely read about it, because he finds reading about other people interesting, and wants to support others in the queer community. Part of supporting people is trying to understand them, and listening to what they say about themselves. "Should I write a song about butterflies? In case we have any trans fans?"

"Oooooh.... that's probably hard." Rei responded thoughtfully. Given his own disastrous coming out experience, maybe it wasn't so surprising that he would feel that way. When Keigo suggested a song about butterflies, he nodded excitedly. "Ooh~ Yes! We should definitely have a butterfly song!" He agreed immediately.

Keigo doesn't bother to point out that it's even harder for trans people, since there's even less acceptance of trans individuals than gay people. No need to bring Rei down, after all. "I'll put some work into it -- I want a trans person to kind of... tell that I'm reaching out to them, without it screaming 'this is about trans people' to everybody else, I guess."

Rei nodded more at that. "Yeah~ Like most songs are about something, but don't necessarily seem to be about that thing." He agreed, thinking it would be really nice if a song like that could reach out to people that could use some love and support, but still be enjoyed by people not in that particular situation.

"The best songs have layers -- and while I can write a song with a surface and my intended meaning, honestly if I'm doing it right, other people will come up with their own intended meanings. The more people who can find themselves in the song, even if their meaning isn't what I intended, the better," Keigo replies. Certainly a lofty goal. But he thinks he knows enough about the trans community that he could sneak in a couple references to help them find meaning there.

Rei nodded enthusiastically. "Mhm! Mhm! Hopefully lots and lots of people can find themselves in it. Lots of people want to transform themselves, right? No matter whether they're trans or not?" He enthused as they got back to walking again, staying close while they talked.

Keigo smiles, at the (possibly accidental) depth of what Rei's said. Probably just about everyone wants to transform themselves, so it's definitely a powerful feeling. He would like to transform himself into someone more stable and reliable, so he can relate too, "You are more true than you even know, I think."

"I am?" Rei asked with a happily curious look up at his boyfriend. "What makes me 'true'?" He continued, ever more curious. He liked the sound of it, though, whatever it actually meant.

"Hmm? I mean like, there's a depth and a truth to what you just said. 'Lots of people want to transform'? It's probably closer to everybody. I think just about everybody must have something they wish they could change about themselves. For some people, it's a small thing, for others it might be huge and daunting, but I think most people have something," the lyricist explains.

"Oh! Yeah! Definitely!" Rei agreed immediately. "I think it might be more weird if there was someone who didn't want to change anything? Like, maybe one person in the whole entire world?" Rei continued. Quite obviously, this implied that Rei had something *he* would want to change, but he didn't actually say so, and he stayed just as happy and bright as before.

Keigo actually feels like he shouldn't ask. If Rei wants to talk to him about it, he surely would, and all he can offer is what he wants to change about himself. And basically every one of his friends knows what that is without him having to say it. And really, Rei not just blurting something out is sign enough that he may not want to speak about it. "Also -- isn't there something a little sad about not wanting to change? Like saying you've reached perfection, and you have no growth left to do?"

Rei nodded enthusiastically at that thought. "Yeah! Even if it's small, silly things!" He replied, then giggled, "Like changing obsessions from one musician to another~" He supplied as an example. Had anyone noticed the lack of a certain name on his lips in the last little while?

"Hmmm," Keigo had obviously noticed the interest in Miyavi had waned -- as the most common victim of Rei's excitement about anything. Rather it's the 'to another' part of what Rei said that's piqued his interest, "Have you found a new artist to be obsessed with then?"

Rei grinned broadly at that question, eyes dancing with excitement. "Mmmhmmm~" He responded, smiling directly at Keigo, but not elaborating in the least. The fact that he *hadn't* gushed about his 'new obsession' to Keigo should probably give a hint as to *who* he was referring to.

That's a full whoosh on Keigo understanding. He doesn't see himself as a musician - the day his best friend made a band and he wasn't in it kind of ended him thinking of himself that way, although he definitely still practices the bass. And writes like 85% of shotgun songs. So Rei having a new celeb crush (as he's understanding this) and not gushing and not telling him is very strange to him. "Huh? Is it someone embarrassing or something?"

Rei's eyebrows drew in in confusion at that question. "No? Why would it be someone embarrassing?" He asked, really not getting how or why Keigo would think that. Also, there wasn't much of a chance of Rei *being* embarrassed about anyone he was obsessing about, no matter *what* the rest of the world might think.

"Because you haven't been gushing to me about them," Keigo reasons, and also the fact that Rei had demurred away from saying the name when basically directly asked by the lyricist just moments ago.

"Well, it would be weird to gush to you about you!" Rei responded with a laugh, finally actually answering. Not that he had deliberately been trying to be obtuse, it had just ended up that way.

"Wait, what?" Keigo replies, wondering if he'd stumbled into a different conversation for a moment. *He* can't be the replacement for *Miyavi*. That's not how things work. "I thought you were talking about a new artist you were into?"

Rei giggled at that shocked response. "How could I crush on any musician more than I'm crushing on you?" He asked, as if that were obvious. "I could tell you my newest celebrity crush, though~" He advertised, since that was obviously completely different.

"Well, because nearly any musician counts more as a musician than me?" Keigo suggests, as at this point he's more of a hobbiest than anything. Rei's newest celebrity crush is more what he'd really meant anyways, so he's good with that offer, "Oh, yes please."

"But any musician is less crush-worthy than you!" Rei insisted, then grinned at that sort of eager request from his boyfriend. "Well~ Mikoto-kun was watching some videos during break last time~ And the artist was really hot~ Like maybe hotter than Miyavi. I couldn't understand him at all, though. He was singing in Korean. But~~~~ His name is Taemin!" Rei gushed to his boyfriend and best friend.

Keigo just chuckles at his boyfriend's care for him, although he understands that. The personal attachment is always going to set someone off over the celebrity. As for Rei's story about Mikoto, he considers, "Hmm... I don't think I've ever heard of him -- well makes sense if he's korean, I guess."

"I can show you, if you want!!" Rei offered, excited to induct his boyfriend into the hotness that was his newest celebrity crush. It didn't even occur to him that gushing about another guy like this might make Keigo jealous. He had no illusions that he would ever meet, nevermind have a chance with, a celebrity like that. And even if he did? He had Keigo!

Given his current mental situation, Keigo is fine. He had literally asked about it, and of course the answer would be someone Rei found attractive. "Sure, we can do that when we get home."

"Okay~~" Rei agreed. And, with that, it seemed the guitarist had hit his limit for walking normally and skipped away to flit from one flowerbed to another, looking and marvelling at various things that he found.

Keigo shoves his hands into his jeans pockets and continues strolling along at a comfortable, unhurried pace. Rei would come back when he wanted to talk again, and Keigo has a lovely few of his boyfriend bounding around.

As they continued along the path, Rei did periodically come back to chatter about this or that before fluttering off again to look at anything and everything around. His antics drew some attention that wasn't his boyfriend's, but thankfully most seemed to be amused, and at worst exasperated, by the skipping, fluttering, boy in a dress that was enjoying the path through the park.

Keigo is relieved that nobody seems to be taking too much offense at the situation, and next time Rei comes back, he reveals, "We're just about at the zoo." By which he means the area in front of the zoo because they don't really have 1200 in their budget to go to the zoo today.

"Ooooooh~ Can we see any of the animals from the path?" Rei asked, eyes wide with interest. It wasn't at all an expectation that they would, but it *would* be nice.

"No, not really. There's a big wooden wall stopping that," Keigo replies. Although said wall is painted nicely with images OF animals and arrows directing people to the gate. If they continued further this way, they would also get to a couple of museums, but those aren't free to enter either. Instead they'll be making something of a u-turn, returning back to where they entered but via the main boulevard instead.

"Awwwwww~ That's kind of sad. Wouldn't it be better advertising to get to see a couple, then want to go in to see more?" Rei asked, trying to make an argument for why there should be free access to some of the zoo animals. Not that it would matter, since Keigo didn't make such decisions anyway. The images, when they came upon them, though, were very cute, and Rei enjoyed them almost as much as real animals.

"I mean, maybe they figure that most people know what a zoo is," Keigo replies with a shrug. He's not really a marketing guy so he doesn't have any better of a guess than that. He snaps some pictures of Rei with those pictures, and then leads the way back down the wider path.

Too bad Rei had gone haring off to look at the animal pictures and didn't really register his boyfriend's response. If he had, he likely would have had another argument to support his position (whether that argument would be a good one, no one would ever know). Instead, when Keigo turned down the wider path, Rei hurried to catch up with him. "Is this a normally busier part of the park?" He asked, thinking a wide path like this would be good for families and groups to walk along.

"Mhmm. And there are usually some street shows, or street musicians or whatever around too," Keigo agrees. And it's not long before they find someone playing a guitar with a little portable amp, and very quickly the area is a lot more crowded.

"Oooooooh~ Neat!!" Rei enthused, hoping that they would get to see some. Luckily, it wasn't long before they happened upon the guitarist, and without even thinking about it, Rei snagged Keigo's hand and drew him over into the crowd so they could watch and listen. This is something he totally would have done back in their hometown, if he'd had the courage and the opportunity.

Keigo takes being grabbed and pulled along with the simple aplomb of someone who has had this done to them so often that they're half way prepared for it at all times. And while the lyricist doesn't think this guitar stands up to any of the guitarists he happens to know, he has an appreciation for the courage to come out and do this, and for having a song choice that just seems to fit the situation. Although the two of them don't have much money, he tosses 10 yen into their guitar case.

When Keigo shared some of their meager funds with the brave man before them, he smiled brightly up at his boyfriend. As hard as it was for them, it was possible that it was even harder for this person playing his heart out in the park. And while he'd never been brave enough to stoke the possible shame and anger of his parents further by busking in their hometown, he had taken the most terrifying plunge in running away, all the way to Tokyo, with nothing but a dream and his best friend by his side.

Honestly, the lyricist just hopes that the small donation isn't insulting, but at least he knows in his heart that it really was meaningful coming from them. He waits til the song is finished, then starts to move away to continue their walk. It would be more fun listening to Rei at home, or watching his boyfriend flounce around the park than listening to this guy. Not that he's terrible or anything.

When Keigo began to move away, Rei flashed a happy smile at the park musician, then bounced his way after his boyfriend, not even pretending not to look all over at every new and interesting thing he came across. As he flitted along, there were a couple of other street performers, but nothing that caught his full attention. That was, until he caught sight of a magician doing a trick. "Oooooh~ Can we stop and watch for a little bit?" He asked, pointing in the right direction, having returned to Keigo's side *just* to ask. Mostly his question was about whether they had anything more to offer if they stopped to watch the show for a little while.

"Hmm," Keigo shoves his hands deeper into his pockets. He keeps decent stock of his money, but he's not so great at keeping track of coins that are less than 100 yen. He pulls out a whole 12 yen. "Yeah, let's go ahead and watch." He loves that Rei respects the artists enough to want to be able to pay anybody they stop to watch, even if all they can pay is a pittance.

"Yay! Okay!" Rei replied excitedly before heading on over to watch the magician's next trick. Having understood almost immediately that people performing here were doing so as their livelihood, he didn't want to stop and partake of the various talents if they couldn't pay even a little. It would be awful to always use his talents for people to enjoy without being paid, after all.

Keigo knows that street performers are certainly not expecting everyone to pay, and that being part of a crowd for them could entice others, but overall he agrees with the principle of trying to pay them. Somehow Rei managed to get a pretty good spot to watch from, and Keigo is more so stuck behind his boyfriend, which he doesn't mind at all.

Rei's eyes were wide as he watched the current sleight of hand trick that was being performed. He had no idea at all how the trick was performed, which made it all the more thrilling for him. He knew, logically, that actual magic wasn't real, but watching this... he wasn't sure that was actually true. How could someone do that without real magic? The sheer wonder on his face, and his glowing delight, might have drawn a crowd to the magician all on its own.

Keigo doesn't have a great view of Rei's face, but the two men are so close, he doesn't really need to see to have a good idea what it looks like. They stay for the entire rest of the magician's set, and then he tosses the change he'd found into the donation hat at the end, again hoping no offense would be taken at it being a paltry amount.

At one point, Rei relaxed so completely while watching that he was subtly leaning back against his boyfriend standing behind him. Not enough to need support, but just enough to feel the subtle body heat coming off of Keigo's chest. It was comforting in a way that his mind, focused on the display before him, couldn't properly quantify. When the show was over, he clapped happily with everyone else, then smiled at Keigo handing over their contribution. It might seem small, but it was more than nothing, and he did notice a few in the dissipating crowd that did offer nothing more than their attention and enjoyment. He tried not to judge them. You never know what someone else's circumstances are, after all. When his boyfriend returned, he asked, "Do you think there will be any other cool shows down here?"
