You would certainly have a very meaningful position at the Alzheimer's Society.

My mom has Alzheimer's; at this writing, it is 5 years since the disease began manifesting. She is in an Alzheimer's care home in Florida, where my oldest brother lives. She was put on Hospice Care 6 months ago, as she basically can't do anything for herself anymore. But she still smiles and reacts to my brother and visitors, even though most of the time you can't understand her and she sits in a wheelchair all day. It's sad, but at the same time, my mom is still inside that prison of a disease. She's an amazingly strong woman, who has kept her good humour through all of this. She loves to laugh and make people laugh.

Anything you can do to help people dedicated to assisting people with this disease, through finding a cure or assisting care givers is a good thing.

I'll keep you in my prayers. Hope this goes well.

*fingers crossed* on the job front - it sounds like a very worthwhile organisation to be involved with.

David's Mum was recently diagnosed with Alzheimers. We had known something was wrong for a long time but the rest of the family refused to see it.Even now there is a diagnosis they still seem to be in denial. They refuse help like invalidity/ incapacity benefit and carers allowance which would help provide financially etc which they would be entitled to as Dave's Dad is now fultime caring for her...

David's Mum still insists there is nothing wrong with her, but doesnt recognise us or her husband some times...it's so frustrating... head banging wall etc

Dear Mike

I hope you enjoyed your birthday yesterday.

I will transfer over some £ when I get paid in few days time - sorry for the delay.

I think that melancholy feelings about the world do not help motivate us - in fact they just tune with our low sadness about our own lives.

If you want to be one of those who are not tempted to do nothing and therefore let evil triumph then it has to start with looking after yourself because you need a strong sense of your own worth and your own inner joy to enable yourself.

Strangely then it is self care that can be the key element here.

I hope the Honda Civic or Dhona-Vicci is proving herself.

Love to Cal and love to you for your birthday weekend at Whitby.

Remember there just may be quite a few Goths in Whitby at present.

Love and Happy Birthday Goth Weekend to you Mike.

Love and God bless you. Mum
