They were a great live act.
Dan fronts a band called King Kool now. You can see their latest stuff on youtube.
Another band I think you might like is the Maccabees (not the more famous Brighton band but the Birmingham based Maccabees). They're a Christian band but the music is quality indie/alternative rock and the lyrics aren't your usual cliches. You can get their stuff here: http://maccabees.bandcamp.com/track/like-lightning
