interesting blood drive today, for a lucky few (me). i was doing something called a double red donation (which i've done before) as opposed to a whole blood donation. supposedly, they only really use the red blood cells (called rbcs in some circles) in most transfusions so donating whole blood is a little wasteful. so they come up with this idea ( Read more... )
