The one setting I was looking forward to being updated was Paranoia. Commies worked in the 80's because everyone was terrified of the Soviet Union and China. The fact that friend computer created a totalitarian communist society to fight the commie threat was part of the appeal of the game. In the 00's, people were terrified of terrorists, and through scary pieces of legislation like The Patriot Act were more than willing to let governments act like terrorists to fight "the terrorists." This was perfect for Paranoia. But instead of going with something as topical and edgie as the original Paranoia, they Instead went with a post Glasnost free market communist society with spam. Not that I would expect quality from Mongoose Publishing, but I was still disappointed.
