So, today I met an entirely new group of people for that Rogue Trader game I mentioned. Pretty much everyone was new to each other. I'll be running SBA tomorrow night for the local crew. I'm trying to take the game's "Rock & Roll Space Opera" tagline to heart - my game is inspired by Heavy Metal (the film and soundtrack), anime (Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop), Buckaroo Banzai, Harry Harrison (The Stainless Steel Rat and Bill the Galactic Hero), and Star Wars of course.

Talking to my friend Jack the other night got me fired up about my Godlike game coming up in October. I spent the evening drawing up a big 24" x 18" map of Rabaul's Simpson Harbor and two other smaller maps that I'll use. I love drawing maps for games!

I just got a copy of Space Wars Worlds & Weapons off eBay. This book was originally published in 1979. I first encountered it in the library near my elementary school and I probably checked it out more than anyone else. I've spent most of the last week sitting at home with my foot propped up, the victim of a gout flare up, which yes, still exists (probably someone you know or close to you has it). Well, FFG put their Deathwatch Collector's Edition on sale yesterday. I went over there thinking to order one, and then I saw the price. Urk!

Me: So, Emi (my wife), I wanna buy this here game. It costs $200.
