I've seen half of one episode of Avatar. I know just about nothing about it.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is about an Airbender named Aang who after 100 years trapped in ice is revived in a world where the Fire Nation has waged a 100 year war, and is about to win with the return of Sozen's Comet (Certain astronomical events give some benders more or less strength with their bending.) Aang is the Avatar, the living embodiment of all four elements (earth, fire, air and water) and it is up to him to stop the Firelord before that happens, thus saving the world.

I love the show so hard because its quite well animated, very funny and it has magic kung fu! I don't care that it is targeted to 10-12 year olds, its a fun show.

The only potential problem I have with this news is its being directed by M Night Shammalamadingdong, who has no previous experiance with kids films, martial arts or epics. Should hand this over to Aang Lee or someone.
