hey bay area folks,
i am buying a digital camera. right now it's down between a sony cybershot dsc-t30 or a nikon coolpix S6. any comments on either of these cameras, and any ideas where to get a great deal in SF? i was going to go to Best Buy, for their return policy.

be sure and read the fine print on best buy's warranty. they don't cover damage due to dropping the camera or whatnot.

yeah, i'm aware of that, but it would be more for malfunctions or if the camera just stopped working for whatever reason. while i don't know about nikon, i heard it's near impossible to get sony and canon to actually fix your problem, and if they can you're usually without your camera for a long period of time. with best buy's paid warranty, you just take it in, tell them what's wrong with it, and walk home with a new camera, pretty much no questions asked, which came in handy on a few occasions with dvd players and wireless routers n shit.

what i meant to say was that the warranty for cameras are different than the warranties for DVD players or whatnot...

be sure and ask!
