One month later and not much has really changed. I haven't bought anything significant for the house. My mp3 player fucked up again and I got a better one and a partial refund

I would like to talk to Dan. I don't know what to say, but I could try. Although I have no idea what is goin on down there. I don't even know who Kim is. Unfortunately, you have to be strong for Dan since you are living with him. Hold up as much as you can. If he is really suicidal, you need to check up on him a lot. And make him make promises. Even short term ones like day to day. Even if that promise is literally don't kill yourself today. Of course you have to watch out for yourself too. I understand the money thing is not a good thing. If it comes down to losing the apartment then don't lose it. You cannot do it on your own of course. Get in contact with the others if you can and even those friends of Dan that you don't really know, or care to know. Just get Dan back into a normal life (which may involve D&D). Just get hime to hang out and get his mind off of things. Just have some fun. You have to balance the moments when he needs time to talk and be heard and also when it is getting too much and he needs to have fun
