The huge update, featuring TONS of photos, is located

Sunday July 31st
I won't even go into the details, but the drive to NYC somehow took me over 10 hours. Once I arrived, here are some pics of Liz's apartment...

The Entrance

The entryway of her apartment

The Pooper

The Room of the Flies

The Only Room with AC

The Hallway

The Room that Liz should have gotten

The view out the window

We spent the first night sitting on the roof looking at the view of NYC. It was a great place to chill. The entire trip was brought to me by the enjoyment of...

I couldn't resist taking this picture.

Monday August 1st
On Monday, Liz was supposed to work all day, but somehow she was done by 11. Of course, I was just waking up at this time so she came home and we were able to go explore the city. Before catching the subway we made our first visit to Dannys...

This place seriously has the best subs in Brooklyn. I got a huge 12" chicken parm sub for only five bucks. I can't even get this kind of food in Pittsburgh. Good stuff, and definitely called for future visits. We eventually made our way to Manhattan and Times Square. While randomly walking around someone offered us (aka scammed us) into buying some tickets to the NY Improv. More on that later. We then we approached by someone else offering tickets. To our surprise it was free tickets to the Late Show!

We ended up going to the second taping on Monday which turned out to be Friday's show. On Monday they tape two shows, and the guests on ours were some lame comedian, some lame band, and Jason Bateman (the guy from Arrested Development)

It was really cool to see the show in person. We had seats in the balcony, which weren't that great, but there wasn't anything we could do about that. The seating is totally random. After the show, the spotlight operator offered his script, but the BITCH in front of me snagged it nearly out of my hands. I was pissed, but she went to some other staff member and found a script to give to me. I was happy again. When we were out of the theatre we saw Biff Henderson getting into a cab. So cool...

Tuesday August 2nd
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, shortly after getting free tickets for Monday's (aka Friday's) Late Show taping, we were called about an online ticket request I put in for tickets. So therefore, we had tickets to Tuesday's show too! I was very excited!

Unfortunately we got "randomly" sat in the balcony again. I complained and said, "We just sat up there yesterday." Oops, apparently you're only allowed tickets every six months. The guy bitched at me a bit, but we just went up the stairs. Today's seats were better. We could see everything. Today's guest was some random chef guy, who was actually kinda funny and interesting, and also, Seann William Scott...

...promoting his new shaved head and his movie. It was a good show, and fun again!

Tuesday night we explored Williamsburg and Brooklyn and found a cool little bar/restaurant. Good food. I ordered some awful drink called "Muddy Waters" and that's what it tasted like. At one point in the night I was sitting in a Brooklyn Bar, drinking a Brooklyn Lager, and watching the Yankees on tv. Now, if you know me at all, you know I HATE the Yankees. So when they lost the game, I silently cheered, otherwise, I might have been killed right there in the bar.

Wednesday August 3rd
Liz worked until four today, so I decided to explore Chinatown and some shops on Broadway in NoHo. After work we bought tickets for the Producers.

The show was amazing. Our seats were in the first balcony level and fairly close.

Thursday August 4th
I went shopping again on Thursday and bought some awesome Pumas. In the evening we went to the Improv...

It seemed like a big of a rip-off, but they never actually took our tickets, and it was a pretty funny show. We saw, I think, five total comics, including these two guys.

I have no idea who any of the comics were, but it was still a good show. There was a two drink minimum and an automatic gratuity added to the check. A huge money making scheme.

Friday August 5th
While walking through Central Park on Friday we came across this...

They were filming a movie called "Hoax" starring Richard Gere. We didn't see him, but it was a very cool scene in the middle of the park.

Saturday August 6th
On the morning of our last day we went to the Brookyln Brewery. Look for Liz in the bottom left of the picture...

That's all. There was a lot more fun, but I'm tired of typing...
