So Thanksgiving is in a week... is it horrible to say that this year, with everything going on in my family, three family members passing away, my mother moving out of state, and just other things that I (of all people) don't feel like I have anything to be thankful for? I know my life is pretty mellow, that to a lot of people it looks like nothing ( Read more... )

thanks... i guess after thinking about it a lot today i have a lot MORE to be thankful for, it's just that sometimes you really have to think about it...

To heck with cranberry sauce (though i too love it, esp when its homemade) be thankful for dessert

I have always seen the holiday along the lines of no matter all the horrible things that are going on in ones life right now, there are still positive things in our lives, even if they are small.

THat being said, i completely understand how you feel. I hope things turn out better for you next year.

I just made a nice long reply about how i love dessert too.. and how i had a lot more to be thankful for, my niece and nephew being healthy, my job, my friends... but it got deleted... goodness gracious. so yeah i have a lot to be thankful for... it's just sometimes easier to realize the bad that comes in your life as opposed to the good...
YAY for dessert... by 8 pm next thursday i plan on being an apple, or some other pie, and i'll have to be wheeled home... cause you are what you eat!!!
