I'm so sorry Mike. I'm glad you are close to your kids. We were in this same situation before. A job brought us back to my family, but we ended up with a couple shorter term jobs before we managed to find job security. Fifteen years later, it was still worth it. I'm saying a prayer for you and your family. Check the universities. And maybe you could substitute teach until you find the right thing? Also, I have a lot of friends who drive school bus routes so they can have good insurance while they work their own small business. You can do it!

Thanks! I don't regret moving at all. The only thing I have that is good in my life is my kids.

I'm getting paid for a few weeks, so I've got some time to look before I need to start worrying about short term jobs. But those are good suggestions and I thank you.
