I love those rare moments of clarity when I can start seeing the subject (Computer Science) as what it truly is. BBQ and phone workiness
Good decent productive weekend! Main event was Nathan's BBQ for his pre-birthday celebration which entailed a quick trip to B&Q for supplies and to Sainsbury's for food. Me and Sam rigged a tarp. over the patio in case of rain and were in charge of the cooking which was mostly in the dry, we only had to move the BBQ once to avoid rain. This did ( Read more... ) -

Yay for the return of motivation this Wednesday afternoon and the ability to actually do work on my PhD again. The sudden change in weather contributed to this a bit since the lack of sun lends itself to not caring about not being outside again. Tuesday was an exceptionally good day. After the 13.5 hour work day on Friday it was nice to have a slower day. I started reading a fascinating research paper on LAO* which should be useful for my research and what's more I understood nearly all of it so far including the maths and proofs which is a rarity for me. Careers meme thing! Usually these are of almost no value to me since just about EVERY career/job/interest questionnaire I've ever done as given me some or all of Computer/electronic engineer, systems analyst and computer programmer and left it at that.
