I love that she says: "If this was a direct attack against the muslims..." etc. as though the movie Dogma is a 'direct attack' against Catholicism. Only somebody, like any of those protesters, who haven't even seen the film would believe such a ridiculous thing.

Kevin Smith is one of the most religious (Catholic) modern filmmakers I can think of -- apparently he even goes to church immediately before production begins on a movie, to pray for a good production, and immediately before it opens (which didn't pan out too well for Jersey Girl).

Mel Gibson is probably the most religious modern filmmaker, what with the church he built in his back yard. But he's one of those religious wingnuts from whom most Catholics would probably prefer to distance themselves.

I can't believe I didn't say this already (sometimes I watch these and forget to comment), but I, too, am SO happy this is here.

Someone was smart to tape it, but you do have to wonder who it was that had this sitting in their closet on a betamax for the last ten years.

The beginning of the clip says "Courtesy News 12 New Jersey"with an original air date and such. I'm thinking maybe somebody, having found out that Kevin Smith had been featured in that segment, contacted the news station and obtained a copy that way.
