Kindle or eee pc?

I travel. A lot. And I like to read books. But books are f'n heavy and eat up your luggage weight allowance. I seem to travel a lot to places that don't write books in English. And I'm not that interested in the kind of books available at airports

I have a 16 GB Eee Pc on which I installed Ubuntu. It originally came with Linux. I am so happy with my purchase. I got it for $250 delivered at my door. If we can help get you one that is cheaper and send it to you, let us know. I would go for the computer since you will be able to do much more with it.

One of the faculty I work with has been using a Netbook and is quite happy with it. She says it's great as long as you're just using it for surfing the net or text editing/MS Office type stuff. Not so great for running graphics programs.
