picture the surface of the sun. just fields of flames.

now picture a guy, running around in those fields.

well, i was doing a little puppet show in which i had to charaters who were visual stereotypes of a samurai and buddha, but audio stereotypes of non-roman european languages--some russian and german words i thought sounded cool.

the actual point of the piece was to make fun of how steretypes work even when they're blatantly wrong, because everyone thought it was buddha and a japanese steretype when they clearly spoke in european tongues. it was also making fun of people who are too easily offended... and there happened to be a few of those types in the crowd.

they didn't get that it was making fun of them. they didn't get that it was making fun of stereotypes. they SAID they thought that was my actual conception of what buddhists and japanese people looked and sounded like. they thought the GERMAN AND RUSSIAN WORDS were making fun of buddhist chants.

in short, they sucked bawls.

wow some people dont know what a joke is... AND did you tell them you took japanese?? so you actually had a frame of reference in the matter? i seriously doubt you would take a class like japanese if you hated asian people... idiots:P
