I don't really have anything to say but thought I would leave a lamo comment so you feel loved...
I went to a Rugby match in Perth the other night but it didn't quite have the atmosphere of a game like the one I went to in Scotland, I must admit it did have better weather factor going on though!
I went back through my entries from the last couple days and added photos - there is one of the rugby in my post about it - go have a look and remember how lovely an Aussie sunset in summer is!

yeah, they are pretty good i guess. but they don't last too long, compared to a scottish sunset that can can take all frickin night in the summer plus you have reminded me that i needed to post a picture of the Scotland vs Australia game i went to at Murreyfield

You're right in that the evenings don't last as long here as a Scottish summer evening but I think at the point of the actual sun getting low in the sky and that last half an hour of sunset the colours in Australia are far more intense. I did see long sunsets in the UK in summer but never really saw one as amazing or as beautiful as an Aussie sunset !!! Especially when you're at the beach for it like I have been a couple times since returning

that is what i noticed over here, the colours in the australian sunset are far more intense. i think i have seen about 2 here that i really remember that have made me go "wow, that's just like an aussie sunset" i do miss the electrical storms, big time. it means no storm chasing for me and no lightning photography. my step sister sent me an email of some photos from that storm you mentioned. i will pass them on to you
