The Masked Ball Wedding

Here are pictures from the wonderful masked ball wedding we attended last Saturday at the Phelps Mansion in Binghamton, NY. Aren't the bride and groom lovely? And extremely nice and talented (the bride, Erika, makes great masks, she made the one she's wearing, and Daniel's and David's as well). The gals we were photographed with were delightful ( Read more... )

Carmilla: We had a great time, one of the most enjoyable, if not even THE most enjoyable wedding we'd attended.

Maybe you'll be next? Can you marry in NY?

No, not in NY yet. In Massachusetts you can, and in Connecticut, I believe, you can have a civil union. It doesnt matter to me, really, I dont mind living in sin, but the benefits for one's partner if something should happen to the other are really the deciding factors, as gay people dont have too many rights.

Just stumbled in from miss_mortisha's journal (just call me raven_nightmares_nosiness_incarnate) and I just wanted to say...what beautiful photos. Looks like a wonderful evening...and you're right, 1940's face sums it up perfectly. You all look amazing. *sigh...what it is to be beautiful...

Best wishes to you, and to the happy couple.

Thank you! That's fine, I'm a bit on the nosy side myself! The wedding was truly enjoyable, certainly one of the most individual ones, and the people were really nice. Yes, Sabrina has quite a face, she looked like she stepped out of the 1940s. It's funny, you see certain people whose looks dont really match the time they're living in, they look like they belong in a different time.

But again, thank you, I love meeting new people!

This is true. I had an MRI of my head/neck once...and the only time I have seen a skull quite like mine was in the neolithic section of the natural history museum!

It really is lovely to meet you. miss_mortisha has told me a lot about you in the past. I must also add, I think your artwork is superb. You certainly do have a good eye for those little things that bring a figure to life.

Oh, stop! Dont tell me you drag your girlfriend around by her hair and carry a club and eat raw meat!

Thank you for your kind words. I am proud of my work (now, if some more people would BUY some of it would help!), I love to do portraits. And I still fret whenever I start one, I STILL worry that I may not capture the likeness.

Again, nice meeting with you, feel free to gab away?
