That was the Labor Day that was.

So Nick and I took a trip with a couple of friends to Galena Illinois over the Labor Day weekend. It's just a couple hours from Chicago. We got to Galena in time for lunch.  During the day there was beautiful weather so walked around a bit, did some of the walking trails, had dinner and called it a night since a storm front came in pretty quick.

I hear you! I especially miss three things during this pandemic year: Live theater, hugs and travel. I cancelled two overseas trips and two others to Texas. At this point I still plan to drive to Texas for Christmas, but we'll see.

Galena has the kind of downtown architecture I like so much ... I wish more cities/towns repurposed their downtowns.
